How about the tunics? They are relevant. Who first made the Hero's Clothes that appear throughout the timeline? Like in TP and WW and the other games where you acquire some kind of tunic. Where did they come from?

I'd say it was made from the cloth his mother left him when she gave him to the deku tree, or it's just a tunic that all the kokuri's wore as a fad.

I'd like to think of that as true as well, since I don't like the idea of Minish Cap being the first in the series. I'm glad we finally moved it away from that spot in the timeline. lol

Edit: Oh wait it's still at the beginning. Oh well, lol

Who knows with carzy guy. And if he's talking about ALttP, then you NEED the Master Sword to get the Golden Sword, as the GS is the MS reforged.... is that right or am I not remembering correctly?

For some strange reason, I had a feeling the double clawshot would be in the game without knowing.

I really liked having them.

The item I was really excited about, though, was the ball and chain..

I liked the Bomb-Arrows a lot, and the double clawshots were interesting as well. Then again, there's the gale boomerang...

Ochobobo won this thread with the second post.

That said, double clawshots were awesome enough to make up for the rather lame Dominion Rod. The Gale Boomerang was interesting, but under-used.

Speaking of new ideas for the Bow, which is my favorite as well, I think it would be awesome if Link could nock (?) two arrows at once for double damage, maybe only if he's not moving or something. Not sure it's at all practical, but it would be sweet, especially if magic arrows could be doubled too, even mixed and matched.

I THInk it could work on the 2-D games by firing in different directions

Actually there are many hacks in TP suck as super clawshot (goes really far and hooks onto anything..) and the Super Spinner (To awsome for words).

As for the Tunics. In Oot, Link only wore them because he thought he was a Kokiri and wore what the others did. In WW I believe his grandma was the one who made the tunic.

The tunic (I believe) was actually worn by the hero of time and passed down from generation to generation and only worn by boys/men when they came of age, right?

As StinkomanFan said, exactly right. In WindWaker his Grandma explains that Link (THoT) from Oot wore the green tunic throught his adventures (I mostly wore the Goron tunic but ok lol.) And WW Link finally hit the age where he needs to wear it aswell. Thus I beleive his G-ma makes him some.

This whole thing is completely blown off the Zelda universe once you unlock the second playthrough and the tunic is invisable.

The Master Sword

The Master Sword.
The Blade of Evil's Bane.
The Sword of Time.

These are the names of the sword Link must acquire to to defeat Ganon. The Master Sword has been a iconic and important item since its introduction in A Link to the Past. When the master Sword is around, Ganon him self is right around the corner.

This thread will be the official discussion of the Master Sword.

And to fuel fire to this thread.

How many Master Swords are there?

Before Twilight Princess, the thought of Multiple Master Swords would of been a subject of a terribly written fan fiction. In Twilight Princess, Hero's Shade wields a eerie identical blade of the Master Sword. The hilt is somewhat similar to the hilt seen on the cover of "The Adventure of Link". The Blade is undeniable a older, cracked version of the Master Sword's blade.

Is it possible that there are multiple "Master Sword Blades" With different hilts? Its entirely logical. The Goddesses wouldn't make one blade capable of defeating true evil in case the Sword was destroyed OR lost. One supporting situation would be the fate of the Master Sword at the end of Wind Waker. Its forever lost at the bottom of the sea trapped in the head of Ganon. What if a new evil (like Vaati) arrives? In case there's another way to reach the bottom of the ocean and retrive the Master Sword, but at the same time, unleashing Ganon, I can see there being multiple "Blades" out there, all with different hilts.

But enough with my ramblings. Discuss.

I think it was more likely it was a homage of the Magic Sword from LoZ...

They have been seperate swords before (E.I: Soul Calibur)

Shouldn't this really go into the item thread?

The Master Sword has much more significance than just being an item. It's relation to the Hero's Shade, to the Temple of Time, to the few Links that ever wielded it, to the Sages, and to many other important aspects of the series signifies that it is indeed an important and standalone subject.

Now I'd like to point something out about the Hero's Shade. Look at his Cuirass and Pauldrons. They are owl heads. This further relates him to the Hero of Time, as the Hero's Shield bore an Owl, and it too, was armor.

It's ok mon
Try and avoid really small one-liners like so.

The best and most productive way is to follow it up with (in the case of this thread) the introduction of a new item to be discussed, or to respond to another's post, etc.

Instead of lecturing, getting back to the Master Sword, could there be other magical swords like it??

I guess like Ganondorf's sword from TP????

Ganondorf's sword was the hijacked Sword of Sages. Ganondorf using it was a big insult, saying "**** you" to the Goddesses.

That's a awesome point for TP Ganondorf. Too bad he was too much of a forced antagonist.
Bumping a good thread.

I know where Ganondorf got his sword in TP, but where do we see his sword in Melee? Wait, I have a lousy memory, did he use this in OoT? If so, did it have any significance like his TP sword?
