Whotf cares about the character switch? It's just made to provide a tad more variety and enjoyment into the game. I was slightly picky about Link having the boomberang and Y. Link having fire arrows at first, but what does it matter, really? And all your "help" was, really, not that helpful...
1. Ganon's overB isn't the Wizard's foot; that's down B. And if you're playing against a Ganon who's spamming either overB or downB, then your competition could use some serious improvement.
2. What do you mean no WD'ing while close? You mean don't try to WD away when you're already in close? If so, then how else can you get away? And WD'ing in is the best and ONLY way to punish her if she missed a running attack or a dsmash. Phrase your wording more clearly. Also, how can you abuse her turnips? The only thing you can possibly do, like you said, is block, jump up and air grab them, but by that time a good Peach will have already thrown another or be running or floating towards you to punish such a response.
3. Peach's dsmash isn't as devastating when ppl just get used to DI'ing up. Of course it's still a killer move, no doubt, but just practice readying yourself to hold up when in close, and it'll never hit you more than once, usually giving yourself time to recover before she has a chance to be all up on your grill again, as the ***** most often is. *shakes fist at Cheap, I mean Peach* Anyways, not trying to dump on your parade, I just don't like to see people giving help or advice that kind of does the opposite of what it's meant to, you know?
