Upon re-reading it, it doesn't say event. It just says something 'very specific'. This could be a channel like Metroid had, or an event, or something else entirely. Either I way, it's safe to expect something other than the slow trickle we're getting from Dojo.
Okay. Just remember there will be no 'trying' involved. Just come to this board you already have been coming to and it will be all over the place. :D

They've been confirming a lot of characters lately on the dojo website. Maybe that's because there's going to be a demo at the Games Convention and they want to go ahead and confirm all the characters that are on the demo.

A demo would be even better than a movie. They got to have a demo sometime soon, the game is out in just over 3 months. We're almost through August. Then we just have have September, October, and November and then the game'll be out on the third of December. That's really not that long if you think about it.

i actually have high hopes for info from Leipzig. i mean, it was here Nintendo revealed Strikers Charged and Battalion Wars 2, both really great games.

Yes! Alright! I was hoping for this to be true! Looks like Matt C. hasn't failed me yet. Good thing he mentioned something like this would happen in the July 13th Wiik in review! Can't wait! I hope it's a demo or a new trailer that's 2 minutes long of gameplay footage! :D

He basically said that there'd be an event for Brawl a month and a half from then. I thought about it and made connections and thought that he was hinting at the Leipizig Games Convention in Germany. Lo and behold there it is!

id just be happy with some actual gameplay footage.
they wanna grow some hype for brawl here's what they do...
1. Have Miyamoto, Sakurai, Hideo Kojima, and Regie Fiis-Amie play each other in like a 2 minute brawl thru nintendo's wifi connection. (it could show off how the game looks when played, prove that wifi will be with it, andd have each of them play with a different control style)
2. Confirm another 3rd Party Character such as sonic, megaman, bomberman, etc.
3. Confirm a Smash Bros Brawl Wii Channel like they did for Metroid Prime 3

Ah, yes I remember that. I guess Demos would be playable there, most like at Nintendo World Show.
I guess a hopelessly late EU release date will be shown at Leipzig. The crowd will sit in stunned silence, then boo the CEO of NoE off the stage

Why...? Obviously it's at GC so I don't see why they wouldn't show anything. They'd show new footage of the stuff we know about, which wouldn't be "new new" but nice to see characters like PKMN Trainer and Diddy Kong in action and moving.

Ya.. I don't think there's any chance of a demo. Most likely a new video of stuff we've already seen and some new information if we're lucky. There probably won't be much new stuff.

The only big convention in Japan between now and Brawl's release is TGS, but Nintendo never makes much of a showing there. Most of the time they don't go at all.

This thread is misleading. Sure, Brawl is listed on IGN's GC list, but that doesn't mean it will be there. Actually, it means absolutely nothing.

Check Kotaku. It mentions nothing about Brawl being present there.
