Games Convention 2007 info thread (Brawl listed)

This thread is to discuss all the info/rumors about SSBB coming from the Game Convention in Leizpig, Germany from August 22-26, 2007. On their coverage site for the convention IGN has Super Smash Bros Brawl listed.

heres a link to kotaku's coverage. they been running around peeking at the booths before theyre finshed. they already got the euro release date for galaxies and some new track game on the ds lol... come on brawl!!!

I think we're more likely to get some Brawl info from TGS (Tokyo Game Show) than Leipzig. But that doesn't start till September 20th.

If they don't reveal something here, then the next opportunity would be E for All...in October; I don't think Nintendo traditionally makes much of a showing at TGS.

Now that I think about it, you're right, they normally stay away from TGS. Since E3 was downsized though the two biggest game conventions are Leipzig and TGS. I think Nintendo needs to start making appearances at TGS.

I wouldn't count on ANYTHING being revealed just for a game convention. I could easily be wrong. All we got from E3 was a 15-second movie of nothing new.

That said, anything that IS revealed that day will be that's day Dojo update, I can basically guaratee that. So just keep an eye on the Dojo updates and you won't miss anything.

I haven't decided about E for All yet,if it seems cool, maybe I'll get some friends and go, of course if Brawl is there I'm going for sure. I'm a university student and the LA convention center is all of 3 minutes from campus... hmm, definately have to give it some consideration

Don't forget, Nintendo made mention of an event specifically for Brawl after the disappointing E3. Whether they're going to use GC, TGS, E for All, or some new one-shot just for it remains to be seen.

But we should get a lot of info revealed at one of these things one of these days.

cool, several people from my high school went to/go to UCR. Anyway yes, its gonna be open to be the public, so anybody can check it out.

which makes it really cool for people who never got to go to the old E3 (I was lucky, I got to go the "the last hurrah" E3 06) but the downside of it, is that since it is open to everybody (including the kiddies) means that then can't make it exactly like the old E3 (No booth babes *frown* )

oh well, if Brawl is there, then it'll still be awesome.

hey maybe I'll end up seeing you there, if I decide to go. I'm local too, as I said, campus is 3 minutes from the LA convention center, so I'm essentially going to school right next to the convention, and I'll probably see traffic for it whether I go to it or not.

it wil be even cooler if they show Brawl AND the other games I've been highly anticipating (such as Spore, Starcraft 2, Ace combat 6 etc.) then I'd definately go...

Leipzig Game Convention started just now. My brother is there and I'm ****ing jealous : P

The games that are actually there are Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy. The big games. No Brawl. But you can see that Sakurai wants to give us AWESOME updates in return. Link's whole special moveset, New Adventure mode update with a movie and boss speculations and an all new character!

^^So much Brawl information so little time. But really now, I'm full for now. As far as Brawl info goes, I've had my cake, ate it too, and asked for seconds. Boy was it gooooood!
