• $10.00 Venue Fee
• $10.00 Singles Fee
• $10.00 Doubles Fee/person

Schedule:
• 10:00 AM – Spotsylvania Towne Centre Opens/Registration Begins
• 10:00 AM-11:00 PM – Warm-up period
• 11:00 AM – Doubles Tournament Begins
• Singles Tournament Begins immediately following the doubles tournament
• All sets will be open for casuals/money matches/crew battles from the end of the singles until 9:30 PM

Prizes:
• Singles pot split 60/20/10/5/2.5x2
• Doubles pot split 60/30/10
• All players will receive:
• 1 free Chick Fil A Sandwich
• 1 free Auntie Anne's Pretzel
• 1 free Wendy's Fries
• $1 off Pancho Villa Express
• 10% off Great Steak Company

Perks
• The first 4 players to provide Wiis with all characters unlocked and a copy of the game will get half off their venue fee.

General Rules:
• BYOC
• MLG Ruleset
• No turbo or modified controllers
• No pausing; intentional pausing will result in a forfeit.
• Ties will be broken by a sudden death match, 1 stock. First player out loses.
• PLEASE be on time; we cannot allow the tournament to be held up.
• No shows will be handed a loss after 2 minutes; in order to hold all three events we must be more strict about it this time around

GamePad is a LAN center located between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. We are the only center in the area fully participating in the GG Circuit. Our location has 36 Xbox 360s, 3 PS3s and 2 Wiis hooked up to 20 32" 1080p HDTVs, 19 23" 720p HDTVs, a 40" 1080p HDTV and a 23" SDTV that is wholly dedicated to Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Looks like MLG is beginning to use LCD HDTVs at some tournaments. Any thoughts? We have 8 HD sets that are rated at 12ms input lag (as opposed to ~10ms on CRTs). This is still less than one frame of input lag. Would anyone be willing to give some casuals a shot on one of these sets? If the stigma against HDTVs didn't exist within the community and/or we could gain some acceptance for the sets that we have then we could have some pretty sweet tourney set ups...using...THE OCTOCON.

Looking closely at the sets, it doesn't look like they have the appropriate inputs.

That said, the Octocon is still amazing...and is being used for our SSF4 tournament this weekend alongside the SSBB tournament.

Mlg does use lcds and people still complain, lol. The greater preference is lagless. If a tv really does have less than 1 frame lag id doubt id notice. However they have anywhere from 3-30 typically.

Just a note...

This event is being advertised on B101.5, which should help lead to a very large turnout. Large turnout = large pot. The last time we advertised this way we wound up with over 100 entrants for a Guitar Hero event.
