Fun on the beach

As you all know, the BP oil spill has affected the beaches on the Gulf Coast. Thousands of animals are now suffering because of what happened. I decided to use this opportunity to enjoy myself on the beach.

Last week, we arrived at Panama City Beach to check out the place. I walked along the beach and observed the people cleaning up or helping. I walked some more and came upon a duck waddling on the beach. It had apparently gotten away from the workers. I had prepared for this, so I took out some bread. I threw a piece to it. It ate it and looked at me, hesitant. I cooed and threw another piece. I kept looking over my shoulder. While it was busy, I decided to make my move. I took out a lighter, lit a newspaper, threw it at the duck, and ran like hell. It was fun. Have any of you had some similar experiences?
