Fox Trip Combo Percentage Guide

I got bored and was looking for a new way to combo moves. One thing that I remembered worked well was tripping. Not the random way though.

At certain %s when you hit the opponent, they enter a tumbling state where when they hit the ground they must tech the impact with the ground to immediatly regain control or wait a second and get up. In this time when they are down, you can run over to them and attack.

The way it worked was one of 2 ways. 1)They didn't time their tech/ do a move to try to regain control after being hit. 2) DI in a bad direction anticipating another move and hit the ground early. This only worked though with a few moves that were fast and have a low launch angle. These moves are: fthrow, ftilt(up, straight, and down) and nair.

So I decided to look at the percentages at which they fall.

Basically this shows against who, what percent which move will cause them to fall. This can help with planning moves to set up strings and rack up damage quicker.

This also works with shine at 100ish%, lol. Shine to chase U-smash is too good.

I've been noticing this with F-throw, but not F-tilt or N-air as much, so thanks for putting this up. I hardly tilt my F-tilts upwards, that's probably why.

no lie i had all the nair %s and i lost them lol got too lazy to redo, good job Bob this is really nice to have

oh and just incase you guys didnt know,shine sends these characters to the ground at the following %

MK: 84
Snake: 101
Wario: 98

edit: i think you should space in between chars, and keep the color white, its kinda confusing to read at first

Love how I posted the same thing about the Fthrow a month or two ago and everyone shrugged it off. Just gotta love it.

how did u test it? training mode (in which case, that'd mean everything's gotta be fresh?) and is it % specific? or at any point above the listed percent they'll 'trip'? and, if they miss the tech, are they true combos? or can they react with the invincible get-up attack, roll etc?

Yea, training mode. Yes, any time past those points will cause the opponent to fall if they don't tech it. Yes, if they miss the tech on most of those moves around the given percentages, you will be able to follow up with dash attack or usmash.
