Four More Games Announced to Come to GENESIS X

As we approach February 16th, 2024, we’re learning exciting things about GENESIS X! Recently, on December 22nd, 2023, four new games were announced to be at the event. They are:
  • UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes (Main Title)
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (Main Title)
  • Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 (Side Game)
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Side Game)

Notably, players won’t need competitive passes to play the side games. Players can participate in them with either a spectator pass or competitor pass. However, the main titles are a different story. Those will still require a competitor pass to play. Speaking of games though, these new four titles are not the only games to be featured at GENESIS X. The full list of games includes:
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Main Title) (Singles and Doubles)
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee (Main Title) (Singles and Doubles)
  • Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Side Game) (Singles)
  • Super Smash Bros. 64 (Side Game) (Singles and Doubles)
  • Rivals of Aether (Main Title) (Singles, Doubles and Workshop. Additionally gives eligibility for a limited Rivals of Aether 2 Singles Pre-Release Bracket)
  • Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 (Main Title) (Singles)
  • Capcom VS SNK 2 (Side Game)
  • Classic Tetris (Side Game)
  • DDR A20 PLUS (Side Game)
  • DDR Extreme (Side Game)
  • Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (Main Title)
  • Guilty Gear Strive (Main Title)
  • Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 (Side Game)
  • Magical Drop 3 (Side Game)
  • maimai DX FESTiVAL (Side Game)
  • Pump It Up (Side Game)
  • Splatoon 3 (Main Title)
  • Street Fighter 6 (Main Title)
  • Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Side Game)
  • Tekken 8 (Main Title)
  • UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH II Sys:Celes (Main Title)
The event is scheduled to occur on February 16th, 2024 till the 18th in San Jose, California. Currently, main registration is still open, and is set to remain as such up to January 3rd, 2024. There will also be late registration, lasting till the end of January 22nd, 2024.

Author’s Note: Wow, these are pretty cool. I gotta say, I’m pretty excited to see Brawl and Guilty Gear REV 2 join in on the fun. Also really looking forward to the other Smash titles, Rivals and especially Rivals 2 being there. But what do you think? Please let us know in the comments below!
