monthlies, it seems this is a bit closer than other tourneys atm. saturdays are best for me..

Well, I got word back from the people at the venue...and they're a bunch of money grubbing snobs to say the least.
The venue I had in mind happens to be a "health club" that sells nutritional products, but they have a lot of space. Initially they said they were not trying to sell their product to the people I would potentially be bringing in (not that this should be an issue anyway) but now they're saying that the entry fee to enter the tournament is $20 per person, $15 of which will go directly to the venue (however to compensate, people who enter the tournament have open access to the healthy drink bar...all non alcoholic, which I know none of you are going to be interested in that) while only $5 goes into the pot (so 10 people = $50 pot while $150 goes to the venue.)
Needless to say I'm not going to support this or help them run it anymore, lol. Close thread please.
