**If you are playing a friendly and the TV is needed for a tournament match you need to stop playing immediatly ... that being said there will be 2 setups for 64 friendlies throughout the whole tournament and 3 setups for melee friendlies (These will not be used for the tournament)**
***If you do not register for an event before the specified time you will not be able to compete. We arn't going to wait around for people to take there time ... we have lots of events to run and not much time to waste***

This tournement will be hosted by URSU (University of Regina Student Union)
Here are some of the things this tournament will have
- 5000 sg ft
- Speaker system for music!
- VERY cheap
- Because it is a university there is vending machines EVERYWHERE as well as a cafeteria
(There is a Tim Horton's IN the university but I don't know if its open weekends) - Mcdonalds is a across the street as well as a mac's and Taco Del Mar
- There is an awsome club/bar in the university that is connected to the room we are playing in! You who are over the legal drinking age (19) are more then welcome to go sit in there and have a drink!
- There are showers for everyone to use!!
- There is a pool! (and I went and looked at it the other day and took some pics for everyone so they know its not sketchy!!! )
- There is a gym at the university
- Free food (Pizza, Pop, Chips...)
- Entry Prizes (anything from Posters - New Controllers - Wii - flatscreen TV's!!) so everyone has a chance to win
- Getting a projector and have a projected image of the brackets on the wall at all time so everyone can see it
- One main TV for finals
- Im also going to try to record all the matches not just finals(I need some help with this from people with experience)
Door Prizes
There will be door prizes that include things like flatscreen TVs, Ipod`s, controllers and other gadgets.
Entering singles will get you 2 tickets into the draw
Every other event you enter will get you one more ticket into the draw
5% of all the pots will be pooled together for the prizes
Housing
So we will be housing people ...
If you would like to stay at a hotel there are some near by ... so just tell me and I will help you figure it out
I just need to confirm with people how many people they can house and then we can get this ball rolling
Events Breakdown & Rules
General Rules
- Items are set to off
- The stock is set to 4 *
- The time limit is set to 8:00 mins
- All sets are best of 3 matches
- In the event of a dispute, controller ports will be selected by Rock-Paper-Scissors
- No player may choose the stage they last won on
- Ties will be broken by lives, then percentage. In the event of a percentage tie, one stock sudden death will be played
- Wobbling is NOT allowed
- The Ice Climber Freeze Glitch is banned
- Jigglypuff's rising pound stall is banned
- Peach's bomber stall beneath levels where she is unreachable is banned (example: FoD)
Set Format (in order of procedure)
- Opponents choose their characters for the first match *
- Each player may announce one stage to be banned for the entirety of the set
- The first stage will be played at random from the Random Stage List **
- The loser of the previous match announces the next match's stage from either the Random Stage List or the Counter Stage List
- The winner of the previous match chooses their character
- The loser of the previous match chooses their character
- Repeat steps 4-7 for all proceeding matches
**Opponents may instead agree upon a random stage

Additional Rules For Single's Play
- Players are responsible for knowing the rules. No more than the previous match will be replayed in the event of a rule violation and it is recommended that any disputes be brought promptly and quickly to the TO's attention.
- Pool play(Or something similar ... like swiss style) will precede double elimination bracket play.
- The semi-final and championship sets (in A and B side) will be in at least best of 5 format
- Wireless controllers are discouraged because of interference, unreliability (battery life), and time hindrance.
- There will me a schedual set up at each TV
- The finals will be set up at a nice big (NOT laggy
) TV and everyone should come watch the epic-ness :D - If you enter in the singles event you are automatically entered into the draw for prizes
- 5% of the pot will go towards the prizes and I am hoping to raffle off a brand new Wii as well as many new controllers ... if you have any suggestions for prizes please let me know
- Anyone who wins money in the event will not be elegable to win prizes
- The prizes are given out at the end of the second day so everyone has to stay till then to win

- You can have a crew of what ever you wish but you can not be on more then one crew...
- Each crew will consist of 8 people
At the very end of the tournament I think it would be fun to take the people who played the best from Canada and the people who played the best from the states and have a crew battle between the US and Canada :D Possably something very similar for EC and WC
