when i watched the video i noticed some things. make sure when u do the jab cancel to a smash don't charge the smash like u did against falcon. use more bombs and zairs for spacing so the falcon has a hard time getting to u.

also be careful when going off stage especially against fox because u fell for the shine and that led to ur death against the fox

yeah i dont think he was charging his dsmash for nothing after that jab cancel. I think he was going for a double dsmash. Seems like a decent opportunity. The boomerang was coming straight back. Would have done some serious damage if it hit.

Anyway i liked the pivot grabs. I dont think ive seen to many links do that. Hmm the only thing is u seem to have a problem getting gimped alot. Try to work on a better off stage defense. if not just stay away from the edge like the plague.

That Falcon match was really fun to watch :p

Both of you guys were really good, but I die a little on the inside when a character like Falcon can even take advantage of Link so easily :/

Some really cool stuff though, jab canceling, pivot grabbing, good ****. You have a very nice Link (and that guy had a pretty sick Falcon, lol)

If I could make a suggestion, maybe use a little less Dair. I mean, you used it well, but there were other times you did it and it was unnecessary. Improper read perhaps? Ah well, it happens to the best of us.

Nice use of UpB btw. Good ol' canon, lol. I noticed a charged/whiffed one to edgeguard from far away, but I'm pretty sure you were expecting a roll, so there's nothing to blame you for there.

But another quick comment that goes along with what Ryos said...KEEP CONTROL OF THE STAGE AT ALL COSTS. As a Link player, you will learn that if there is no solid ground that is within shorthop distance from you, you're in danger, lol. Do anything you can to keep yourself from getting in a situation where you have to recover basically (lol, I know this sounds stupid, you always want to stay out of that situation, but with Link...it's scary...all the time...even at low %'s. This is why I main Sonic, no fear of offstage gameplay whatsoever, lol).

Lol, i can see some ddd influence in the way you play Link. You probably already know the basics of the game pretty well, just practice and get accustomed to Link a bit more (yeah, stay away from the edges). I like the charge dsmash, it was a good mind game it just didn't work out. One thing you should try for a bit is spamming bombs like crazy for like a week so that when you start playing normal again you'll have a great sense of when to use them and incorporate it more into your game.

Keep up the good work.

Well CO18, you're on the right track. I liked the pivot grabs, that's something I like to do also just not as much as you lol.

My advice to you is to get down the timings for the autocanceled aerials. You can autocancel uair if you press A as soon as you leave the ground (it needs to be full hopped). Dair is a move thats not spammable (unless its autocanceled) because if you miss you can be punished most to the time so use it with caution. Also, whenever you can, pull out a bomb keep your opponent guessing with it.

And like everyone said, its better for Link to stay away from the edges.

Nice Link so far.

Wow, I'm quite impressed. That's a solid Link. A couple of things - even though I love close range, and love watching yours because of it, I need to say to improve your projectile game. The amount of bombs were alright, but you need more boomerangs. Your use of bombs could improve as well. Watch this video for help about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2QiCMuunQk

And, if you really wanna get fancy with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjdQY5SOqEE

Also, like everyone else said, less dair. When getting back on stage, use ledgehopped fairs some more. Watch Arkive's DI video, you NEED it with Link.

I was pleasantly surprised how close range you played against D3, but I noticed that he always fthrowed you off, rather than continuing the CG offstage and then doing bair gimps (usually thats what happens to me). I guess you know D3's weaknesses in and out and such.

LOVED your use of pivot grabs, it was awesome. Try to incorporate more bairs and nairs, and a couple of fairs. Generally, Link's aerials without his sword are his better ones.

Upsmash is a good damage racker, ftilt is an awesome KO move, fsmash is a great spacer, keep all those in mind.

That's really all I can think of - you definitely have a solid Link already, I'm quite impressed.

Thanks that was really helpful. Well hes still not that used to playing link since Im really the first one hes been playing and I know Dedede very well.
But is link not able to tether the down throw right away? I think that's what he was scared of. I'll be sure to watch the videos.
