Nothing like getting two Focus units on the same roll with the opposite IVs. I got 2 Alms from the TT Banner. One was +SPD, -ATK, the other was +ATK, -SPD. It would't have mattered too much on which one I got since I already had an Alm with +HP, -SPD to merge with, but hey, a +2 Alm with +ATK is perfectly fine with me.

Really happy they're using actual FE maps for the Tempest again, instead of the generic and repetitive Askr/Nifl maps (except the final map, but even that uses FE music instead of seasonal music). Plus, it's the Echoes maps, which we never get to see anymore since they're for some reason not in the Training Tower, so that's nice.

Meanwhile...

Looks at orb stash and realized I haven't summoned on anything since Christmas Eirika's banner ended back in January. Could have been tempted to spend orbs for Haar and Picnic Leo but they were both free so I am pretty much feeling whatever. Might as well aim to save 2000 orbs because at this rate who knows when IS will put a character I want on a banner.

I keep getting bad luck on banners and have also been playing the game less lately so yeah Orb saving isn't doing much.

Hope they make saving Orbs a more reliable strategy by giving us actual mercy pulls or a "pay a larger sum of Orbs for a large multi-summon with a guaranteed focus unit" system, or at least making merging units easier.

I've recently passed 300 orbs saved. I'm holding out till F!Grima returns in June. If I'm lucky I'll be able to pull the remaining 7 copies I need then.

But that's gonna take some pretty good luck...

Been trying to get a Kliff or Faye(mostly Kliff though) from the TT Banner. First I got 2 Alms, then I got a Regular Genny. Which, considering that she's no longer part of Seasonal/New Hero Banners, is nice.

Well not really, don't even have 100 Orbs right now. They always do this to me.

I was hoping one of the other units I am hoping to merge up like Laegjarn would show up to make the banner more worthwhile to me but it's kinda meh for me as it is. Alm would at least allow me to mess around with Pair Up though.

So when Are we going to get our first Red Bow? On the other hand, Alm is our first Colorless Legendary Hero since F!Grima. Funny enough, he's also Earth like F!Grima.

Anyway, Alm was definitely made to destroy Armors, with the Luna Bow/Lunar Flash and the Null Follow-up to stop Vengeful Fighter and Wary Fighter. As for Banner units, Red, Green AND Colorless are looking good from my view. I don't have either Legendary Marth or Roy and Warding Breath is always good. I have none of the Green units and I don't have either Leanne or Alm, my Winter Eirika can use the Merge and I can give Joyous Staff+ if I get any additional ones.

The sad thing is that I have to either forgo getting Kliff and Fortress DEF/RES 3 to try and get a L!Banner unit or forgo the Legendary Banner to get Kliff.

Also, Darting Blow 4 Seal when?

So, someone pointed out on how when we got Legendary Roy, the New Heroes Banner that happened after the L!Banner was a Binding Blade Banner. When we got Yune, the New Heroes Banner after the L!Banner was a Radiant Dawn/Path of Radiance Banner. We are now getting Legendary Alm.....so a potential Gaiden Banner?

For me that's kinda the issue with Legendary Alm. He's a strong player phase colorless archer, arguably one of if not the best available. But we have plenty of strong colorless archers as is. I think the idea behind Alm is the fact that he's practically meant to destroy Armors. His Bow has a pseudo-Moonbow effect to it and also has a Special that decreases DEF even more while giving him a boost in ATK with his high SPD. And he has Null Follow-up to not only counter Vengeful Fighter, but also Wary Fighter.
Considering that a good many AR Defense Teams rely on Armor teams stacking DEF & RES with skills like Ward Armor & Fortress DEF/RES and also rely on skills like Wary Fighter to slow down damage, Alm is able to put a HUGE Dent on them, especially as he cuts a part of their DEF, including the combat buffs, and doubles them. He can also deal with Solo Dumas and Surtrs that are put in a corner to delay turns.
Sure, Klein does provide a powerful option for a Player Phase budget option, but to Armor teams that focus on the DEF/RES, he can only do so much, especially when he has lower ATK compared to Alm. Alm fulfils the Player Phase Archer AND has a very strong Anti-Armor/Tank game to boot too. And in a game where Armors are a common norm, Alm definitely appeals to people who not only like Player Phase Archers, but dislike Armors or want to have a good chance against them.

And I was comparing them more stat-wise rather than skill-wise. Lucina still does have a niche thanks to her Bow, Future Vision and being a Blue Bow. Jeorge has his niche of being very Anti-mage/ranged thanks to Parthia. And F!Takumi has Skadi and it's niche of dealing indirect damage and panicking foes. And Legendary Lyn still has a strong niche of being a very good Counter-pick against common Heroes like Eir, L!Azura, Reinhardt, L!Lucina, Brave Lyn, Ophelia, L!Tiki, etc.

Wow the Golden Week has just started and it's kinda overwhelming, both choose your legends banners are back with 5% rate plus the new legendary banner, and we're getting like 15 free summons with summoning tickets. I tried getting more Lyns or a B!Vero to fix the -Speed one I have, but as of now I only got a L!Ike (Don't even have anyone to fodder Warding Breath to at the moment). And speaking of summoning, Mordecai got demoted, which is great (though I wish they would demote beasts from other colours, Panne and Naesala are already blue, so Reyson is the only non-blue that's F2P friendly).

Allegiance battles are also up and I already hate them, zero space to breathe with lot's of reinforcements, it's stupid that they want you to follow the weapon triangle when there are 9 units on field. And you can only use a friend unit once a day, so... Unimpressed really, plus rewards are garbage, feathers and a couple dragonflowers.

I might spend a 100 orbs or so on these banners, it's weird this seems more appealing than what they did on the anniversary lol

EDIT: **** legendary Alm, seriously. Nothing against the character, I quite like him, but damn he's so absurd on powercreep. You simply can't enemy phase him, it's not going to happen. And can't believe someone thought it was fine to give his special charged on infernal, that **** is disgusting. I think I'll wait on some kind of F2P guide because it isn't worth my time.
