Finishing opponents off?

So I have few minor problems dealing damage and comboing, but I can never seem to actually finish my opponent off or setup for a kill. The numerous times I've gotten my opponent up to 120%+ shows that.

The only times I know I've been able to KO is if I somehow get lucky with a dash attack and then bair (dash attack leaves 'em in the air long enough). That or if they're simply high enough to KO with a lucky smash attack.

Anyways, how does one setup for a KO with Falco? I've mostly been using bair as my main finishing move. <.<

shffl moves into their shield and lcancel -> shine. lol most opponents shield-grab and you can just punish them after your shine.

Or you could just grab. Dthrow on foxes and uthrow on everyone else. Throw them off the ledge and edge-guard. that constiutes as finishing them off too. Just keep it simple.

nah. thats wrong. to a play a tourny falco you're going to need to know what you're doing. Its not like hes Shiek or something.

In my previous post, I meant to say that its near impossible NOT to be able to kill with Falco. He has so many effective ways of disposing of his enemies.

Falco isn't that easy to pick up...PC Chris is just too good. He uses Fox, Falco, Peach, Marth, Captain Falcon in tournament matches that I know of. Probably Sheik also.

Only for top-level smashers. Then again, when you've reached that point, you can probably play a fairly large number of characters well.

But for the rest of us, no one character is really "easy" to pick up and play.

well falco has really easy tech and his combos are even more no brainer than sheiks. plus all his moves KO... plus you have a laser that gives you the best approach in the game. basically i dont practice falco but i can still beat all my friend's mains with falco cause hes so easy to pick up. luckily none of them play marth lawl

Shine -> Bair. That was easy, now wasn't it? In reality, Falco's lethality is really limited to a few moves. However, the Bair, which is also his most effective kill move, have an amazing amount of set-ups. Up-tilts, Dash Attacks, and Shines are the most common way to set up a sweet spot Bair kill. Also remember, the Dair is his second most effective kill move. Use both often, and you won't have many issues killing your opponents.

The Fsmash also has a silly amount of low-mid percent set-ups, so don't be afraid to end a flashy combo early if you can land a Fsmash, as it will likely lead into a relatively easy edge guard/hog position for you.

Pretty much all of his moves are killing moves, just as long as you know how/when to use them. Just make sure when they're at high percent, play normally. Don't try to spam predictable moves or else your opponent will probably punish you for it.

There are many KO possibilities with falco around 80-999% imo. My personal favorite is the dair > fsmash at 75-90% on fastfallers unless the opponent is CC happy...

If they're CC happy don't fsmash, throw a shine and then bair. It'll at least get them off the edge.
