Does anyone here have experience in fighting a good luigi. I"m not talking about a guy who plays decent with him. I mean someone who is really good luigi player. I"m have problems handling him with all of his ariel combo goodness. If anyone has good advice let me know and please don't just say space him out and keep distance. I want actual good advance knowledge of this matchup. Thanks to everyone in advance. nair can't even save me sometimes!!!

UpB during his n-air, f-tilt/bombs/uncharged shots to add space.

Luigi's biggest weakness is a projectile spammer.

Other than that, use b-air and d-smash when approaching/close to him. Theyre unpunishable unless he dodges because of the way he slides back when he shields.

This is why you use metaknight as a backup :)

Luigi beats samus to oblivion, all you can do is get him offstage and spike him

I fight TZFR.... he's an amazing luigi!

Pretty much i try to distance myself almost the whole time with homming missiles, zair, and small plasma because if he jabs me i'm dead (does jab to up-b combo's amazingly). He will usually approach with a dowb-b so i need to hit him with a zair when he does. He recovers really well so i shoot about 3 homming missiles when he does his side b, then if he is very low i try to time my grapple on the edge so that i don't get hit by his down-b and so that i have invincibility during his up-b.

I use dtilt to hit through Luigi's tornado. Screw Attack OoS to defend yourself against Luigi's aerials. The most important thing is to take advantage of Luigi's recovery. It gets good distance, but it can be stopped easily. What I do is jump off the stage facing towards the stage when Luigi is about to fire off the Green Missile. The goal is to end up behind Luigi after he uses the Green Missile. Zair him right as he begins the dj+tornado recovery. If he aims for the ledge, you'll have to grapple the stage instead. From there, drop and nair to intercept Luigi's dj+tornado. Once you get the pattern down, this is very easy to accomplish. If you have troubles alternating between grappling the stage and zairing, just practice more on Training mode to get a better idea of Samus' tether range. I guarantee this will work. Sorry for not being able to provide more insight on actually fighting Luigi.
