What else is there like wobbling that's banned? For any character that is, I've just never known any of the more technical rules.

Uh ya T0mmy there's a reason wobbling is banned.
Good IC players can pull it off in a pinch and it's a gamebreaker.
Much like Fox's shine it does pretty much kill with ease except for the fact that Fox's shine can be dodged a majority of the time.
9 time out of 10 if you are grabbed with ICs a good IC player can pull it off even in a running grab. And don't even test an IC that shieldgrabs you cause thats gg.
I main ICs and I don't even approve of wobbling.

SEX-U-L Fire (sp?) tried to wobble me in tourney but I dealt with it. Just don't get grabbed. I think he may have gotten it off once.
EDIT: I'm down with it being banned, though. I sure as **** don't play ICs.

I don't see what problem is. I main Marth and Sheik and I'd be fine with banning wobbling, kirbycides and shines.
Lolz that was too funny.
What's funnier is nobody put up an argument to banning Peach's D-Smash. Too good.

I live in Centralia, WA. Maybe someone from north WA can give me a lift on their way to this tourny, I will gladly chip in gas money--I just dont trust my car lol. PM me if you have extra room plz. thanks. Also, I smell good and Im not annoying.

Also, you can confirm me for this tournament. I'll do both the 1v1 tourneys (early bird and the 4:30 pm one). Need me to bring a Gamecube?
Yes, bring a cube. Bring a spare TV too, if you can. One complete setup will cover 2 - 4 players at a time and the more setups there are during the tournament, the faster it can be finished (+ more friendlies).

The only TV I could bring along is 13" diagonally if you want, even though that is tiny. Good enough?
Also, I know it sounds lame, but I could bring my laptop as recording equipment, it has oddly good quality for a lappy with a built in camera.

Just to reconfirm, I'm bringing: GCN (with the full SSBM data and SSBM), TV (13"), and possibly my laptop (if it is wanted) for recording.

sorry shoulda posted here.... can i come? I can bring video capture and wii, and maybe tv...i suck at smashbros but i love playing lol. Oh and is it at someones house or something? (my video capture thing needs a comp, and i dont have a laptop, also i got ssbm w/ all data)

Peach Masta - yeah, definatly cool, at this point I figure as long as everyones respectful to the fact that people will be sleeping at night both in the house/neighbours(it's a friday, so it's not like anyones going to bed super early...), they can come stay friday night. Friendliess til dawn.

A chance to show your versitility as well as knowledge and mastery of varried stages & characters.
1. There will be no stage bans. Instead you get one character ban in it's place.
2. No character repeates per round. Although I believe in finals, since there is the possibility of 5 matches/2 picks per person, the alternate player may pick a character chossen by his opponet, or either may pick characters played in the 1st match during the 4th or 5th matches.
3. Zelda, Sheik, & Zelda/Sheik are a fickle situation (Zelda/Sheik being the playing of both, although you could choose to stick to one).
But for example, if Zelda specific is choosen, later Sheik specifics may be played. But if Zelda/Sheik is played with no specification, you may not later play a specific to either. (the opposite of this rule applies as well. If Sheik is played 1st round, you may not play Zelda/Sheik 3rd round. But you could play Zelda alone 3rd round.)
Also, you may not ban Zelda/Sheik altogether, but either can be banned specifically, as the majority of the characters players seem to stick to one or the other.
And as just brought to my attention by Peach Masta, in the case that the random pick happens to land on Zelda/Sheik, unless either are banned it will count as a Zelda/Sheik pick, prohibiting specifics later. Thems the breaks, kids.
Outside of all these rules, the regular singles tournament rules are in effect.
