Which commentary was it where I think it was dogysamich that was making a bunch of jokes about mew2king being a robot or something like that. I've never laughed so hard at a commentated match like that before.

It was a big national if that helps.

phil and home made waffles yelling at people and screaming in 08 was what hyped me into smash so well.

I could care less of informative commentary. If someone says like "oh, to do good in this match up just grab and combo" thats fine. I can watch the magic happen. But dont elaborate every move a charecter makes. I'll turn off the audio.

Listening to super hype commentary can really make me feel like I'm at the tournament sometimes (genesis 1 and pound 5 come to mind), but if it's overdone it becomes flat out annoying (genesis 2). The best commentators bring the best of both worlds. Dogysamich. I'm also a big fan of just leaving the mic on and letting people just talk sh*t, but that's usually for locals
