What state do you most desire to live in, in the U.S.?

OR

If you don't live in the U.S., and from your observation, which state would you pick if you had to move to the U.S.

I would probably want to live in either California, or Florida, the most popular states. Hawaii is nice, also.

You guys are all wrong. In my opinion Vermont and New Hampshire are the best. It gets way too hot in California or Hawaii or anything too far south. Wisconsin is good, but the best skiing is in Vermont and New Hampshire, and you can't beat that.

Alabama of course! Home of the Red Nick Hillbillies! BTW, I live in Alabama.

For real this time. I like basicly any place that has a good beach, particulary North Carolina. I also like Hawaii, that place just makes me feel like 'm actually home away from home. I also like Washington. I have alot of reletives there and it snows alot.

So I would like to live in Hawaii during the Summer, and Washington during the winter.

PA- it's very peaceful and calm, and it may be the most historical state of our nation's past. Plus the fact me, Gideon, BL, and others live there.......

If I was forced to move to the states I guess I'd pick Nevada, and live in Vegas, for obvious reasons. I'm sure it's one of those places that are a fun place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there.

As for temperature, it's more of a personal preference thing, you can't say "yuo gyus aer rong it si two hot in calfronai".

Oh great, another all-American topic, although tmw_redcell responded...

If I was forced to move to your country (even though I so do not want to..), I would pick California. Los Angeles, probably. I'll probably be going to Vegas this summer for a trip, so if any of you live there, tell me.

Yeah Guys! I would have to agree with you on that one...The best state ever would have to be Wisconsin. I lived there for almost all my life and just recently moved to Colorado. Yes, the snowboarding is great out here...but there's no place like Wisconsin!!

yea and in the summer i think the sun is out 24/7 in alaska

I have to agree with Kid Icarus. PA IS the most historic state. it's also hot in the summer and cold in the winter. we have the city and country. plus look at our football teams. stealers and eagles.

You also don't know crap about Hawaii. Hawaii NEVER gets hot, or cold for that matter... it stays in the 70's 24/7 year round. At the beach it gets quite a bit hotter, but duh, the sand reflects heat...anyways, you're AT the beach, so who complains about eat then?

Also, you say they are better states for skiing? Hawaii has the best surfing in the world, not some mediocre ski resort.

I've been all over the US. From Washington state, to Maryland, To North Carolina, Texas, California, and even Hawaii.

I'd say:
#1 = North Carolina
#2 = Hawaii
#3 = California

the crappiest would be:
#1 = Missouri
#2 = Washington State
#3 = Tennesse

California. It's where I live anyways. Right in the Bay Area, 1/4 a mile away from the beach baby.

Oh puh-LEEZ! I can't believe no one has said Arizona yet! Let's see... we are one of the only states that doesn't have some kind of natural disaster to contend with every year (earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc). We don't get blizzards in winter (heh, Phoenix doesn't get ANY snow)... but you can still go up north near flagstaff for some nice skiing. One of the 7 wonders of the world is located here (the Grand Canyon). We have a kick arse base ball team! Um... the summers may be a little warm, but it's a dry heat. And... um... I got nothin But trust me: Arizona is the Best. State. EVER!

I like where I live now, Pennsylvania: Amish Paradise!

But obviously that's not the question. A state I'd like to see? Alaska!
Steal Oil, Run from Polar Bears, and terrorize the lives of Inuits all in a days work! No, really, I like Alaska and hope to move there when I grow up, marry some ****** (Yupik, Inuit, It doens't matter.) and then train the daughter that I'd have, Mercedes, to be a Figure Skater. THen we'd move to Antarctica and I'd be the father of the first Antarctican Olympic Medalist! Boo-yah!
Then I'd discover a new island and make it the first coutry to begin with the letter X: Xhaoland!

 Ok, maybe that's a bit too deep.
I also want to go to the most southern part of Texas (AKA Caucasians with southern accents pretending to be Mexicans. )

I love Connecticut. I love the nutmeg state. Another one of those states with no natural disasters to contend with, it also has very few dangerous animals, though mountain lions are occasionally sighted. Anyway, I live on the ocean, and although the Sound is pretty dirty, its still nice. I would love to live in Hawaii or the American Virgin Islands. Well, maybe not live in them but have a vacation house.

Okay, now that most have you have found something wrong with my post, which I agree was not all that good, let me rephrase it:

You guys are all wrong in my opinion . In believe Vermont and New Hampshire are the best states. It gets way too hot for my tastes in California and Hawaii and anything too far south. Wisconsin is good, but the best skiing is in Vermont and New Hampshire, and you can't beat that.

And by skiing, I didn't mean craptastic ski areas like Mt. Snow or Killington, I meant Mad River Glen (they have a single person chair), and backcountry stuff like Tuckerman Ravine and the Gulf of Slides.
