Melee veterans Dr. Mario, Young Link, Mewtwo, and Roy were deleted from Brawl. Out of those, Roy was my favorite. I used him to beat Melee Event Match no. 51. Because of Ike, Roy is obsolete, so he will not even return for Super Smash Bros. 4.

Is it just me or is there no point to this thread? Digging up stuff that people have stopped complaining about isn't smart.

Mewtwo, because he wasn't a clone, and has no reason to not be included in Brawl.

Also, Ike does not make Roy obselete. Roy can still be in SSB4.

IF there is ever an SSB4, I think all of them will return.

EDIT: And Young Link wasn't 100% deleted. He returned with a different name.

Mewtwo, but that's not saying much. I simply preferred Mario to Doc, Marth to Roy and...well, I liked Mewtwo a wee bit more than Young Link.

But Young Link wasn't really removed. He was just transformed into Toon Link.

Roy can beat Ike any day. I use Ike solely for the reason
thats hes the closest thing to Roy i can use.
By the way, Roy's counter is stronger than Ike's.

Dr Mario would be a Mario alt. costume in SSB4+

It makes so much sense a foetus would understand it.

based on what?

roy was a certifiably awful character in an FE game that wasn't even released in america

ike was one of the best lords ever

Just because Roy might of sucked in his game doesn't mean
sucked at melee. In the future FE6 might be release as a download
through the Wii.
As for the basis that Ike sucks against Roy...

weight: Ike > Roy
speed of attacks: Ike < Roy
recovery: Ike < Roy
running speed: Ike < Roy
number of ranged attacks: Ike < Roy

and just because Ike is literally stronger than Roy, that doesn't
make him better.
Roy has a good chance in coming back in SSB4.

i'm just saying, why bring roy back? he wasn't a good character in ssbm so very few people got attached to him in that, and with fe6 not even being released in america, probably even fewer people knew his character from that (not to mention he had a retardedly flat personality so was pretty unlovable anyway)

ike has TWO games that are out in both USA and Japan - he was a logical choice to replace roy

edit: also, pretty much anyone from melee would **** anyone in brawl if they each had the physics systems of their individual games

i'm pretty sure pichu would run circles around more than half the brawl cast

If only nintendo took the time to release FE6, then Roy would be
just as famous as Ike. The things that could of been done would be
either improve him or luigification. Then if Roy wont make it in SSB4
then i would like to see Eliwood instead.

Mewtwo was always my choice for nonserious item matches, simply because of his telekinetic way of holding items. I was hoping he would be in Brawl just for that.

Mewtwo

but he wont be appearing in ssb4 b/c like it says in his trophy he is just to powerful

and i don't believe nintendo could accurately represent one of the strongest pokemon in the series

Not popular in his FE game. Not a brilliant character in melee, but I know plenty of people who used Roy, casuals mostly, but still.
And why would a character being bad at melee put you off them? If anything, it strived me to get better with Roy.
I miss my boy Roy, though he would have had to have moved over for Sonic in Brawl, anyhow.

Play a MGS game sometime.

Solid Snake is a clone of Big Boss(formally boss), there were 3 clones.
Actually
((MGS3 Spoiler))

the Boss I believe was just the person who trained Big Boss/Naked Snake in field combat and CQC

I miss Dr. Mario a lot.
I loved his god smashes. They were incredibly fun.
*emotears*
But I still love the new roster, so it's ok.
