Teach me Potempkin!
Slayer is the one that looks like an English gentleman or gambler, Potempkin is that HUGE BUFF guy, and Holy order Sol is the guy who dresses like a catholic warrior, black hair and a huge sword.

I might be going to this.
In the event that I do, I would like to participate in teams, however the earliest I can arrive at the venue is at 1:00 or so (my teammate should be able to be there earlier). Should I just give up on trying to get there on time for teams and only do singles or is there a reasonable assumption that I can make it there on time?

3s is a lot more fun to play than it looks, but GGXX is pretty much the best 2d fighter imo. Though it has a very steep learning curve.

Third Strike isn't slow. It may look like the characters move slow but if you have slow reflexes then you are going to get owned!

Its pretty complicated to learn, but you can get it down after practice. and after you learn it, then it becomes a whole lot FUNNER trust me on that :D

Hmm good question, I would say, gg would be a little more easier to learn than melee, if you're used to playing a joystick that is.
