i have recently noticed if you are slightly above the surface of say FD it has very low lag when you are getting up, but it is also very risky does anyone recommend using this or avoiding this?
i personally think that it is much better then waiting to drop down and using the up b when you are close enough that you could just side b to it.

Maybe you can use it if your opponent isn't there edguarding you...which is rare...otherwise a good edguarder can just..

-shield grab
-just plain shield so it stops the full distance of side b and you just fall off the edge
-wave dash backwards and counterattack
-over power it with a stronger attack or out of hitbox attack

....just to name a few...heck even if the side b connects and hits the opponent, you'll die anyway because once again it stops the full distance and you fall to your doom.

i see but i was thinking if you just ended a combo but the oppenent is still coming back(only if i didnt use the knee of course) and you rtryin to come back where you are far enough where you cant airdodge back and are close enough that the up b isnt neccesary, that type of situation

its fun to use when your off the side of the stage and the opponent tries to ledge hog and you spike them with a flaming punch.

It's not exactly the hardest meteor to cancel though, and off the map is auto-death for you as well. I'd only try to hit someone with it off the map as a complete surprise tactic against a player who I know won't mess up their edgeguarding normally (i.e. interrupting a Jiggs' wop with it and the like).

Ledgehop raptor boost at just the right height cancels into that perfect wd/wl animation, and is a very manly way to get back on the map after taking a stock.

On Yoshi's Story, I found that the little incline by the edge will cancel it if you do the forward B at the correct height. This is great if you're out of range to airdodge back to the stage, or if you're too close to up B, all assuming that the opponent is, for some reason, on the other side of the stage.
