Fair to down smash

Will it always work if you l-cancel properly? Can they shield grab before you get the down smash out?

Fairly certain most characters can shieldgrab you if you land in front of them. If not, they can always just shield the dsmash as well and then grab you after that (unless their shield sucks).

It's good to fair through them, fastfall it then go into dsmash, but I prefer using nair-dsmash more though.

there is always the possibility that they can shild grab you b4 you hit the ground...but if you hit the ground and l-cancel..you should be fine...unless ofcourse they shiel during the whole dsmash animatuon...but you cant do anything about that...peace
