I've said this in the Ice Climbers thread, i'm going to post it here as well because it applies to Mewtwo just as much.

Just because they have a trophy DOESN'T mean they don't have a chance of becoming DLC.

Sure, it may seem like it because each playable character has their own trophy at the end of Classic and All-Star, and this leaves non playable characters with trophies vurnerable. But guys, you have to know that if they become DLC, they can EASILY recieve a new trophy made specifically for their completion in Classic and All-Star. Hell, these trophies they have now could just as much become their playable trophy too.

It's not like they were reduced to being Assist Trophies (in :mewtwopm:'s case, a Pokéball), because that, would have been much closer to a final deconfirmation.

Hopefully Sakurai and Nintendo are trying to troll us by making us think they are not in the game.

DLC is a highly likely possibility considering the size of the game. It would be a good marketing move, and would bring back the hype needed to increase sales.

People can speculate all they like. They can rub it in my face over and over that Mewtwo won't be coming back, and the trolls can also taunt all they like, but I refuse to believe that Mewtwo is out until there is proof of it. There's none.

Some people have been saying how they can relate to Mewtwo, it's the same for me. Mewtwo's been a massive part of my life (I even have a tattoo of him) and everything that's happened over the past few days has left me pretty numb, but still. There's no giving up for me just yet. I'll wait a few more months before deciding to give up.

Things don't look bad at all because this is just a video game.

The fact no one was unlocked after Jiggs deconfirms him. They said way early on that rosters would be identical.

While DLC is possible, I doubt they'll use it to bring back characters.

The rest of what you said is overboard and borderline creepy. I guess that's what fans for Nintendo things do. Although I'll say this, you could possibly look forward to seeing him in Pokken. They will have mega-evolution in that game and Mewtwo does go part fighting.

Yeah, like you totally know this. You don't.

They said the rosters would be identical. Well, duh, of course they will be. What they didn't do was say or mention anything else, so just because they are identical is not to say they won't be added onto later on.

....Wow R00d. For what, having a favourite character and wanting to see him back after 13 years? Yeah, perhaps to you that's totally borderline creepy that I love Mewtwo and am a dedicated fan, but honestly, that's just you.

It's about Mewtwo and the other characters returning as DLC, and the roster size with all the characters unlocked. :)

Saying they wouldn't bring back characters in DLC is the opposite of common sense. Please list some logical reasons so to why they would not do this.

Also calling someone's passion creepy is kinda pathetic.

1. There are a plethora of reasons why certain characters didn't make it into the game. No one knows what happened during the development process which caused characters to be excluded.
2. Mewtwo is one of the two Pokemon that has 2 mega-evolutions, the other being Charizard. Mewtwo also recently had a movie and is far from having no relevance.
3. Where did you get this information? Please provide a source and don't just state your misinformed illogical guesses.
4. Same response as above. Provide a source if you're going to claim something.

You're took what I was saying out of the obvious context in which it was made and replied with an immature and stupid statement.

If you do have any actual sources to back your claims, I would like to see them. Until then, please don't come here, insult a regular user of this thread and make claims that have no factual evidence behind them.

Your relevance argument is just as invalid as the size argument for Ridley. And that is a weird comparison..

There is no direct connection to someone nerding out and someone liking child porn.. wtf kind of logic goes on in your head..

It's FAR MORE creepier that you would even go there. A normal person wouldn't do that.

Created from the genes of the legendary Pokemon Mew, its fighting abilities were raised to the extreme. However, Mewtwo did not inherit Mew's kind and gentle spirit, and his high intelligence is devoted solely to defeating his enemies. Is that really the case, though? Perhaps he has suffered more deeply than the humans who gave birth to him, and this suffering is carved into his expressions

Who's to say Lucas won't get new moves like pk rockin or pk love? And has Jeff been confirmed as a trophy or assist trophy?
