I was just watching ball4real playing in harlem and thought it was a good example of how a commentator brought an already amazing game to another level of hypeness and hilarity.

I think it has already been suggested a few times that if the smash community is to grow into the mainstream commentary on matches would be a large part of that.

and after watching this I thought that there are probably a lot of good examples of excellent commentary out there whether it be in pro gaming, pro sports, pro chess, pro hop scotch or whatever,

so post up your favorites and maybe smash commentators will take a few notes.

summoning the spirit of Elijah Muhammad doesn't seem like a bad idea.

also, color commentary ***** so hard. that **** is so funny. thats the only commentary i need for smash

I think MLG has amazing commentary on their halo matches.
they explain strategies so well and even a casual halo player like myself can understand the deep mechanics going on.

ball4real commentary is like going to a Black person church...

And i think West coast Casual commentary is great, i hope it never turns into a play by play thing, that gets to boring and dry.

I also think alot of west coast commentators that arent Brandon and Phil don't get enough credit.

Loveage is a great commentator, the guy knows his melee.

I love mvc2, and with a match like that it's not that hard to commentate.

The two matches with "The Italians" were amazing. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at commentary. The beginning of GF 2 had me dying :laugh:.
