Especially since there's no Romaji X for Dairantou Smabura X anywhere in that block of text, nor are the characters for Onett (オネット). What's more, the characters for Lucas aren't even anywhere in the block of text(リュカ). Please stop spreading really, really, really poorly planned out rumors.

Your "translation" does not meet up to the actual Japanese text. At least look at syntax before trying to start a hoax.

Sorry, if my happiness is overflowing. I've been waiting for this day and before this trying to explain why he's not in. Maybe to you it doesn't seem right to drop vets, but when we all read it from Sakurai's journal, we all expected vets to be dropped. And once Lucas was shown, we all expected this.

People, listen to this person. Seriously, Brawl Central had a few slipups in the past (Twilight Change? :| Faron's Wind?) in translations stating them as fact, so how about we wait for an actual translation?

Well that's a shame. At least cross-examine things. The lack of Ryuka's katakana anywhere within as well is pretty irrefutable.

Still in the process of translating this, but that "Left behind" thing has not held up at all, the rest is probably bunk as well.

If I have to refresh this page ten times a minute so be it. This is a really awful rumor, and that "Being left behind" line is not there. After "Do you remember?" it cites "Ness' object/thing". The title bubble says absolutely nothing about being left behind, you should update that in your translation as well.

And honestly. Just looking over it quickly, you can easily pick out リュカ were it in there as the translation claims, however only the knife-radical(リ) appears, followed by -ichi.

Well, I do know you've been quite passionate about disproving Ness. I must say, it's quite admirable for you to jump into such a heated debate... I don't want to make any harsh judgements, but you are being quite a jerk for getting happiness from other people's suffering. Ness is quite a fan-favorite, especially because of Smash Brothers.

I always knew vets would be dropped... it's just I was thinking along the lines of Dr. Mario, Pichu, Young Link and such. You know, since people really didn't like the clones? Seems rather odd for them to get rid of somebody people actually like, but as I've said, it's evolution. I've always expected Ness to be dropped myself, but I never went around going saying that... in fact I've mostly been defending Ness fans since they never really seem to say the right things.

Oh well, Ness is gone for sure now, but that's what Melee is for. That game will still be great.

Those two things should be all you need to tell you that this is absolutely nothing saying Ness is not in the game.

Hmm, I guess you do have a point there actually... but I'm sure there's several ways you could say that Ness's moveset will be adopted without acutally mentioning Lucas himself? Like saying "Ness will have his moveset adopted and he himself will just be in the background of Onett" or something like that... I guess it would be questionable, but at this point we don't really know.

Much like everything else Smash Brothers related, haha.
