With this tournament, one of the most famous european tournament series made its comeback for a 5th edition. It was smaller than the previous ESA tournaments, as this time, it wasn't hosted by Poilon but by his little brother Charlon.

Most of the best names in the smash scene did attend the tournament, though, and we had some amazing games :

We saw some great upsets, such as Aether, who didn't enter a tournament in almost 2 years and made it to the top 5 with Link.
Tekk ended winning the tournament, taking his revenge after his really disappointing performance at HF-Lan 2 three weeks earlier. The HF-Lan scenario almost came back, though, as he was being star KO'ed by samplay on his last stock of a decisive match, before the the ledge of Battlefield decided to take away the victory from samplay's hands.

I hope the next ESA will be a big one sience I wanna attend a tournament in France again.

Seems like France is land of puffs. First you had Infernum, an Benoit. Now Tekk is stepping up big time. Also holy **** poilon still plays!!

Salepate is mad good as well, rep that french marth. (dat aint makenshi)

France has a rerising community due to a lot of new players you must have seen at BEAST.

I must say playing against new heads is very refreshing

This tournament was dope, and Charlon is planning another one, bigger this time, like the good ol' times.
Hope it will be soon ^^

And Infernum will most likely be there at next ESA, I'll make sure he is.

The French smash scene has never been so active : we had 18 tournaments this year, which is the most we've ever had.
The only problem is that over here, it's really hard to find a venue large enough for a big tournament.
But with the new ESA, the upcoming TSL or the amazing HF-Lan series, we should be able to host international tournament once again.
