Entering first tournament with MK

Last year I did a tournament with Lucario as my main and came out fourth (lost to a laser spamming fox camper) and I was quite a noob back then. Now I am going to the same school tournament to fight again. What should I do to prepare for it? I know most of MK's combos and am very aggressive while I fight. I do not have any human players to practice against. Also, when I fight I rarely use spot dodging and shields, I mostly roll. How do I practice spotdodging and shielding effectively? Is there anything else I can do to prepare? Thanks a bunch for anything.

You're using Metaknight, that's all you need.

Practice. Play against other people. As much great advice as we could give you, that's the only way to actually get good.

roll rarely its predictable, spotdodge/shield when you anticipate an attack. Dont be super aggresive, apply pressure but make sure you space well (attack with tip of moves). And thats pretty much it in a small nutshell. That and what bobson said.
