hey my controller likes to light shield for no reason, making me roll or ****ing me up

does replacing the z button fix this problem? I've heard from different people that the problem is not the button itself but the pad that it's mounted on or it actualy is the z button

what should i do?

all jason did was open it and realigned the pad and cleaned around it

and put the z button back

it worked perfectly afterwards

i've seen this problem happen before, on two of my controllers

I've tried the rearranging and cleanign the z button, also swapping mother boards with eachother, but the lightshield still happens.

as far as i know it's unfixable.

I have this problem in one controller...

but in my controller the problem is the R button, everytime I L-Cancel a move and try to run, I roll.

How I fixed it?... I bought another controller xD

nah i L cancel with R too. your controller just needs some cleaning. just open it up clean it and put it back together. it's usually a simple fix

I had this problem but it was my L button, the springs were like, dying, and it was really dirty in there. Cleaning it helped bu the problem came back a month later and I just scrapped the controller. Not worth the risk.
