I think there will be side stories (based on the map) but in terms of storylines; it will be just one major general plot. Maybe you'll get a different intro movie if you choose a certain team with a certain character but in the end it will all be the same.

Why trust EGM? They are the same magazine that said Sonic and Tails are playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee. And everyone believed them. While they finally said months later it was an April Fools joke, it still hurt people, and EGM's credibility.

Yeah... they had to say it was joke because people like you where naive or stupid to believe it.

If you do decide to trust EGM, don't be depressed if it doesn't happen.
