I read EGM too, I can't afford to buy a magazine for a specific company because then I'd be buying 4 or more magazines a month.

I tried reading some other ones but they were too easy on the games. I don't remember seeing any thing below 3.5 out of 5.

Why trust EGM? They are the same magazine that said Sonic and Tails are playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee. And everyone believed them. While they finally said months later it was an April Fools joke, it still hurt people, and EGM's credibility. And they could of done this to other games I don't know about.

Now why give them a second chance? Maybe I am just harsh, but I speak my opinions. Never trust EGM, they don't know any more than us. The only magazines that could know more Nintendo Power, Duh, and Famitsu, which has given us screenshots fromt he Dojo we havn't ever seen before. Well from the game, not the Dojo.

If we get stuff out a magazine, go for Famitsu or Nintendo Power. Don't trust EGM.

If you do decide to trust EGM, don't be depressed if it doesn't happen. Like what happened to me.

No, because you still sound really lame. Why would you be depressed over something that was obviously fake, and a video game, at that? Get a little bummed out, and that's it. You shouldn't be depressed over something so silly. And also, how could you believe that for over a week, and not realize that there was no alternate way of getting them, when every other character had?

It's not their fault you fell for their April fools, I almost fell for the kingdom mushroom thing this year but I realized the picture they used for Mario from another game.

I don't know what Famitsu is, but I know for sure Nintendo isn't going to give me info about PS3 or 360, therefore it isn't worth it. Like I said, if I bought a magazine for each company I want to read about I'd be buying 3 of more magazines.

I've been a loyal reader to EGM sin ce '00, and trust me, Since the mid '90s, EGM has had a "tradition" of April Fool's jokes poking fun at several things. they include a handheld gaming iPod (the "iGame"), Lord Of The Rings Karts, an up dated LoZ: WW with LoZ: TP graphics, etc. They do this every year. EVERY year. SO because one of their jokes was Melee, they lose all credibility as a magazine?

The magazine that has the most trust in the industry for unbiased reviews and real information on gaming?

Uhhhhhhhhhh, NO. Smash is a lifestyle, you're right, but EGM's job isn't to enlighten readers on that. It's to be a gaming magazine.

If you still hold a grudge against America's (and I believe the world's) most popular, reliable, and respected magazine for a little joke, then you're something I'd rather not say for the fear of getting points.

I've been reading through this topic and I can not believe how much you hate egm Sariku. I find that Egm is a very trustable magazine (except for in April). Sometimes they make mistakes, this comment about ssbb might be one, but the mistakes are usually corrected at the beginning of the next issue. To say that a magazine is untrustable because they have a yearly joke is ridiculous. Just because you fell for something is not a reason to hold such a large grudge.
