But from Famitsu?

Famitsu's usually an incredibly reliable source. If you show me another source that's equally respected (or even not as much so), I'd be willing to discredit it completely.
offtopic: when does it say Super Maraio Galaxy could come out, and what other news did they have on it?

on topic: People who expect 30-35 characters have low expectations, lol. I mean cmon, the GC discs were small, and pretty much stupid looking, plus they couldn't hold nearly as much memory as a normal sized disk. The Wii disks however, are normal sized (finally!), and Nitendo finally got it right after all this time!

Now for the way this affects the # of characters. Simply put it holds more memory, and Nintendo doesn't rush there biggest titles (look at tLOX: TP= over 2 years late), and if SSBB has to be delayed, it won't bug them much. Also SM Galaxy could hold the Q4 season on it's own, so SSBB has a lot less pressure to come out sooner.

But most important of all is the Wii actually has online (unlike the GCN). With this, even if SSBB is released Q4 07, the SSBB team could use downloadable content to add characters, courses, and other stuff after SSBB's release.

So expected 30-35 characters is reeally extremely low expectations, especially with all the downloadable content on games nowadays. I think downloadable content could be the answer to the character # issue, so ya. Downloadable content could be the key (with online multiplayer, of course), especially considering how much it is used on major titles now.

I think those were just their predictions.

On Nintendo's horribly overpriced SD cards of course! Why would you support external HDDs when you can support small SD cards that cost way too much?

Y'know, you could just buy a generic 2 gig SD card (4 gigs are formated different, don't use them) from Staples or Office Max or who ever sells them if nintendo's are overpriced. It has about 10,000 times as much memory as the wii :)

Wow...you didn't know that SD cards had universal compatability with other systems that are capable of using SD cards?

The only thing about them diffirent about them is that they have Nintendo's logo etc on it.I bought a 1 gig generic SD card for 40.00.

>_>

Wow. You guys just totally missed Keige's sarcasm. :/

As for the topic...I'm sure the info floodgates will open soon, between now and E3, and, if SSBB and Halo 3 come out at least a couple weeks apart, I doubt it'll be an either/or sort of thing for those that want both of them.

I know that Sakurai says this, but look at the trailer, not the world trailer but the one that originally displayed some of the new characters. They show Mario, Kirby, Link, and Pikachu basically as tehy looked in melee. They then have transformations, yet, Link and Mario are the only ones that looked any different. Despite being pretty simple characters, I think this can either say that some less popular characters aren't going to get as much attention as the big boys of smash, or that essentially the focus will be on newer characters appearance in newer games.
Or it could be that pikachu and kirby both stay exactly the same with every new installment of their franchises, whereas with mario galaxy and Twi-Pri, Link and mario are changing.

The Wii has a good amount of harddrive memory. That is where the data would be stored of course. Of course you could transfer it with an SD card or something, but you get the picture. That is also where it saves and stores the memory of the Virtual Console games, extra downloadable content, and internet stuff.

^^ he is completely and utterly right...peace

Exactly on the spot! Everyone should know that Mario and Link are constatnly changing, plus Kirby looks cel-shaded in my eyes, and Pickachu well actually looks good in my eyes for the first time=amazming. I like Pickachu's new graphical update, even if Idc about graphics. :)

GreenMamba, isn't that the same place that started the whole 'Ridley/WW Link instead of ICs/GW' rumor?

And Nintendo's planning on HDs, I think. The Wii has all that built in, for sure.

Um...****, something else I needed to say...what was it? Nope, got nothing.

You misunderstand me. I meant Hard Drives, not High Def.

Although, let's be honest: HD Zelda compared to normal composite Zelda is a huge step...
