Wow, this thread still exists? Not to crush anyone's dreams or anything, but ZeRo probably doesn't know anything about the game that we don't. (Other than how it feels to play it competitively)

Haha yeah, you're probably right, we just wanna know what this so called "extremely hype" announcement is. To my knowledge he hasn't said it yet.

Sakurai actually took a pic of all the invitational attendees getting hype! And tweeted it! That surprised me, since I just found out about it. Awesome!

It's likely got nothing to do with Smash 4.

but maybe one of Smashboard's crazy fan theories was right and Sakurai let the winner of the tournament pick a character to reveal.

I really want to see a fan-made trailer that looks like it's going to confirm Ridley, and when it does the close-up with the quote (ex: Little Mac punches in!) it says "Ridley is too big!" And then it cuts to Sakurai giving us the middle finger saying Ridley won't be in the game.

That is if it even regards SSB4.
But it DOES look a lot like one of those reveal screens a la "Little Mac punches in". So if it is we know it's a purple centered character.

This has been an unneeded CaptainLucario production analysis thing.

Well this photo was a picture of them right before they went on, and it's of them around the livestream. I don't think that's a character.

I highly doubt they are letting him reveal it, but I wouldn't be surprised if they told him something and let him tease us for a reveal in an upcoming (maybe tonight's?) POTD. That's plausible.
