Well one we don't know how many total newcomers are at this point, nor do we know what Dark Pit from the Palutena trailer is whether he's character/costume/whatever.

Where was this confirmed? I haven't even seen anyone on Dark Pit outside of the Trailer nor where Sakurai said he only is having 10 newcomers. He talked about how smaller rosters are easier to balance a few times but not with that specific a number.
