Sonic ***** in doubles, it has to be said. Sonic was basically created for FFA's and double matches, nobody can handle Sonic along with 1/2 more characters at the same time.
Has anybody got any good recommendations as to a team mate to Sonic?
You've gotta look at Sonic's attributes, or rather what he doesn't have, and see what character has those weaknesses covered.
An example is Sonic having very limited dependable kill moves. Sonic has to either usually gimp or wait til an unreasonably high % to get a kill off. You look at someone who counter balances that, say Ganondorf, who's dash attack even kills light opponents at about 80% fresh.
But really, has anybody got anything to say on Sonic's partner in doubles, or who to avoid?

I think Zelda might not be too shabby. Sonic is basically her Shiek, so he can get damage racked up.

Problem with this pair is survivability. Neither character is particularly heavy. If you know any good DKs I'd say go with that. It'll be super-armor frames galore :O

But no, seriously, DK/Sonic would be amazing. You could go beat up a pair of Marios for the lulz.

Me and my friend go Sonic+Ike a lot. Really, killing is quite simple. Sonic grabs enemy. Ike Fsmashes enemy.

Ike also has the range area covered and can provide good defense while sonic pwns. Snake + Sonic is als pretty darn good. Stick C4 on sonic, and have sonic stick it o someone else then boom! The fsmash situation above is also equally effective with snake.

me and my partner tried a few combos, such as
sonic lucario
sonic ROB
sonic wolf
sonic TL

hes by far best with lucario adn i also play lucario as well so i thought having a lucario on my team would be great since we both know the ins and outs of him.
but for some reason we do a lot better with sonic/TL and sonic wolf. the effectiveness of the sonic wolf combo really caught me off guard. you can almost lock people between sonics f tilt and wolfs blaster. its super lulzy

lol I think this is interesting I say Sonic and D3 arent to bad a combo. Or maybe even MK (his neimises lolz) But out of all I think the best combo a good Sonic and Lucaus IMO.

Beat me to it D: Me and my friend planned that doubles team before the game came out and it works really well. Sonic is good at pressuring multiple players with snake to do the killing for you.

I love sonic in doubles matches.

This does go well. Just avoiding hitting Sonic with Ike's smash is the main thing.

sonic is pretty beast with wario on his team. wario can covers the air with his jiggly esque air DI while sonic can quickly rush to his aid if he is ever about to take a hit, or is in a delay spot.

wario bike + SC is a pretty mean approach.. both character are short range so they have a very easy time staying out of eachothers way. Sonic does fantastic at support/damage/survivor and wario lands the kills.

I want to try a Sonic D3 team out with my good pal who mains D3. it could be nasty.
