M2K has agreed to split top 5 after winning winner's finals and me, Inui, and Eazy did a 3 way split before. The point of splitting money with more people is because you're chill with them. It's not a matter of sanity .
Yeah, well, I have no idea whether I'm chill with Ryoko or not, he makes that really unclear. I thought I was chill with Velocity, until I let him put his hand in my pocket and acted like a prick.

Either way, I'm not that chill with either of them that I'd split, unless I thought I'd lose, which I didn't, but dudes were waiting on rides, and everyone wanted to leave. I didn't want to be left looking like an *******. Dumb move, I know.

Chibo's Shoutoutz

Johns:

lol I placed and played so bad in singles, but I'm not afraid to admit it. But that doesn't take away from how good Munk and Xzax are (who I lost to). First time I've seen Munk play, and Xzax got a lot better. I was under a lot of pressure as my parents were in Philly for a show and were driving me back to Jersey afterwards, and they ended up waiting over 2.5 hours for the tourney to end. To give you an idea of how angry they were, they called me 4 times in my match v Xzax lol, and a phone constantly vibrating in ur pocket is VERY annoying lol. That, and I was just so done with Smash after me and Rogue's **** lol. Playing losers then grand finals all in a row and every set was 3-1, meaning we had to play 12 intense doubles tourney matches all in a row. It was very tiring lol. At that point I also just wanted to help run the tourney to keep it running smooth.

Shoutoutz:

1: Pierce7d - Amazing stuff, I wish I got to play you again. I'm sure I'll get a chance to next tourney. I'm really sorry about all the money split stuff but we got it straightened out as much as possible. You got first, and that's awesome lol.

2: RyokoYaksa - You scared me a lot when you went ZSS, and even more when you didn't play ZSS like any other ZSS that I've played before lol. Wish we got to play, but I'm sure you'll be in the area soon.

3: Velocity - Yea I know your like known for your cocky attitude and what not, but being disrespectful to someone like Pierce is just too much. Still surprised to see how ya did after your hiatus lol.

4: UltimoDragon - 4th! Great stuff Ultimo, keep going to stuff, and you'll be high on PA rankings. BRING THE POWER OF AFRICA BACK TO PA!

5: Andy - First tourney?? Wow, I knew you would do awesome. I unfortunately didn't get to see you play really as I was so busy at the tourney. You live in PA now right? I had thought you were NJ, but I guess your in PA for school?

7: Boxman - Drexel right? (sorry I get a lot of people mixed up when I meet em for the first time) Awesome job man, it makes me glad to see a lot of new Drexel players do great.

7: Munk - Do you go to tourneys often? I've barely heard of you, and you're really good.

9: Xzax - That was by far the most respectable move I've ever seen by any smasher... ever. And I expect nothing less from ToS! lol. You've gotten A LOT better, and was THE ONLY METAKNIGHT MAIN HERE WTF!?!?!?!?

9: Steel2nd - Wish I got to see you play but didn't get a chance to.

Shoutoutz:

1: Pierce7d - Your Marth is good. I hope I can play you one of these days.

2: RyokoYaksa - Chill and quiet as always. I've beaten your sheik before and I will find a consistent way.

3: Velocity -Always a fun time when you are around.

4: UltimoDragon - AFRICA got you 4th place. Big ups.

5: Andy - Best Olimar I've ever played. Sucks that you live a bit out of the way, but if you come back, I feel that you can place better.

7: Boxman - Will, awesome stuff. We're gonna train your Snake and your ROB. Great teams matches also. F the Knicks.

7: Munk - Sorry about our match and how I had to be gay. I'm not going to lose to a D3. Gayness begets Gayness. Good thing I can kinda play falco.

9: Xzax - lol xzax's language does not fit his age, but he's still cool as hell. ToS represent!

9: Steel2nd - I thought you would take Winners, tbh. You were on a hot streak and your MARTH was ****. Good stuff. Amazing set. I am honored to have played you and I want to play you again!

9: Rogue Pit - Playing crew members is not easy. You could have easily beaten me. I'm glad it was 2-1 instead of 2-0 either of us. Good stuff like always man.

9: BSChung - Great sets! Close sets! That's what I like to see.

13: ChiboSempai - you left your own tournament lol. But thanks for hosting. Def. better than sitting home playing WoW.

13: Beat - You could have done better, and you know this also. I was hoping we'd get to play each other honestly. But you know the deal, I will see you in school. Thanks for being the resident bearded cocky *******.

13: Vex Kasrani - I'm scared of Bowser now! Please teach me how to pick him up as a secondary. It was good to finally meet you also.

17: Wind Owl - Good to meet you! Thanks for staying afterwards with me. I appreceiate it.

17: Cylf - Step up your luigi. And stop using the missile!

17: Genesis - Jordan, I didn't get to play you, but you did good, so I hope to play you more.

Okay since this is too complicated for everyone I'll try to explain this in dumb peoples terms,
Me and Ryoko didn't want to play we were ready to leave cause it was late
Peirce was not there
He came back
We asked to split
he said no
me and ryoko agreed for me to let ryoko beat me so we wouldnt have to play so ryoko would beat him real fast and me and ryoko would split 1st and 3rd 90 each leaving pierce with 60
ryoko won set 1 and asked if he still wanted to do a three way split which would be 80 each way
he was under the impression of just splitting with ryoko
we tryed to explain how he was winning 20 extra by splitting rather then losing to ryoko
Ryoko didnt split 1 2 with him cause that would have screwed me since i just agreed to split 1 3 with him for forfeiting.

no of the splitting would have happened if the tourney didnt take as long as it did.Me and Ryoko just wanted to leave.

im sorry it took a lil long, but it was cause of doubles. the fast that the grand finals were 8 matches held up the 4 of us from doing singles matches. that, and i was at the tv for losers finals and grand finals for 12 matches in a row which kept me from running the tourney. i had .com help a lot during that time who did a great time, but il have to train him a bit more to work on the speed lol

I usually end up taking over a lot of tourneys for people this way, like helping Scar, Woz, and other random tourneys I didn't feel like it yesterday

there will be a brawl+ side event at the next biweekly

i will still need tvs as normal, but il also need wii setups with the homebrew channel. if u dont have the homebrew channel and want it, i can install it for u before the tourney starts.

I was pretty flippin' stressed when the Loser's Finals finally came up at like 1 in the morning because neither me nor Velocity felt like playing anymore, most certainly did not feel like playing each other's gaiety, and just wanted to get the hell out of there.

When the 3-way split was initially disagreed to, I discussed an agreement with Velocity to forfeit the set to me so I could deal with Peirce directly to "convince" him otherwise, and also to not have to bother spending more time playing out a set with Velocity. The other condition for forfeit was to split 1st/3rd prize assuming I won, which I wouldn't have minded doing with Velocity at all. After a little buffer match with Peirce, I finally threw off the gloves in the rest of the set, and I again offered the splitting option before playing the next set, and it was agreed to. I still wanted a 3 way split as per my agreement with Velocity, however. Bear in mind I would've been more than obliged to play out the other set if Peirce still said no to that. Beating Peirce in the second set would've resulted in him having less money than he wound up with. In the result we used, there were more winners.

In response to Peirce's desire for 1st place credit here: if you really want it that much, just take it as an additional act of charity. If you ask anyone around here who knows me they will say I don't give 2 ****s about my rankings and do make a poignant effort to remain inaccurately ranked or not ranked at all for all strengthened by the fact I don't like this game. They also know me for SAAAANDBAGGIN when it just happens to be convenient or add more to my personal enjoyment of this sordid game... or for confusing the **** out of people whom I think care a wee bit too much about Brawl, which I'm not about to deny, tickles my insides in a way playing Brawl itself doesn't.

So yeah... just shut up and take the rank already. It's obviously far more important to you than it is to me, and the fact that you seem to want it that strongly... well, amuses me. That and the events of biweekly mini-tourns are forgotten as quickly as they happen, so I find it all even more expendable. The people who were there know precisely what went down, or what would've happened... that's all that matters to me. I wouldn't even bother going off on justifying your decisions or the "what ifs" of what could have happened if the last set was played out, it's all too unimportant to make a fuss of. You made the right choice for yourself by splitting. ;)

Dude, whether you were sandbagging or not is your own business. Honestly, I told you straight up that I think you're the better player, and the way I was playing in comparison to how I was playing earlier was clearly inferior, which is why I agreed to split (seriously, I'm not scared of you Ryoko).

Mathematically, splitting was dumb. If I lose, I lose $20. If I win, I get $80. Doesn't need a genius to say that under regular circumstance, I would've taken my chances. That's like you coming up to me right now and saying MM at 1:4 odds. Of course I'm going to take that ****. At least respect the fact that I displayed some caring of your feelings when I made that decision. I wouldn't even be so tight about this whole event if everyone didn't have to walk around like a macho @sshole all the time.

I do appreciate you yielding the victory, because you're right, it does mean a lot to me. Everyone already knows who you are. You're expected to win. Stuff like this IS expendable to you. Not for me. It counts for me.

But seriously, I'd've split two ways with you, and we both would've made more money. Why didn't you just fight Velocity and end it faster?

And serious talk, if Velocity wasn't acting like such a prick all day, I would've accepted your first offer without even thinking about it.

LOL you are a brave man.

I would be terrified of Ryoko regardless of what game I played him in .

Velocity probably wasn't even trying to be an ***hole to you lol he is just a crazy guy who tends to not care and just wants to be loud and have fun.

Velocity you're hilarious come play melee and scream for no reason like you used to  that **** is SO FUNNY.

Ryoko you are too amazing <3333 :laugh:

Me and Velocity playing endgame tournament sets has happened enough for both of us to be sick of. We just don't do it anymore if we can avoid it, and you'll even see crewmates doing the same thing in larger scale events. Also, we're pretty chill and after this many years in tournaments I don't leave him hanging in cases like this. Especially since such cases are again, quite expendable.

All in all, I just think you're making too much of a silly fuss over this. I mean, at least after some slapping you gave in to everyone's requests (to split and get home already[split and ...split?]), and more people went home with appreciable money and some needed time because of it. I don't see a reason to complain when, at the very least, pretty much everyone got what they wanted which I believe in your case just includes a decent monetary prize and that 1st placer dealy. As for me, time and avoidance of headache.

Food for thought: I just now noticed you coming to, "I definitely could've beaten Ryoko if we played the last set." Then I noted "You playing bad + me turning Sandbag mode off" ...wat

There are only so many ways that could go, even if you made some other justification besides you were playing bad. In Smash lingo that's dismissed as a john in the given circumstances, and is also one of the most meaningless ones that anyone can throw out at any given time.

If you're really not scared of me at all, then we're going to have to work on that.

And I totally don't enjoy playing Smash for the reasons anyone else does anymore.

I didn't go back and look to see my exact quote, but my point was that I noticed you playing better and I was not playing optimally. Was I playing bad? Eh, not really. But in our first set, you spot dodged excessively, and I was able to consistently punish with Dancing Blade and Dtilt. In our second set, you did not break this pattern, I just did not punish as effectively. I used MUCH less dtilt, and more fsmash (surely you noticed my foolish abundance of fsmash) and you were playing better. More connecting ftilt to Usmash for a K.O.. and less transforming to Zelda, which let me consistently rack up an extra 50%.

I've already said it, and I'll say it again. I still think you're a better player than me. Your defensive patterns are okay, but your offensive style is amazing. I have no johns for that last set. You destroyed me 3-1, no questions asked.

But, if I had to do it again, both of us fully refreshed, I'd fight you, no questions asked. If I said "I definitely could've beaten Ryoko . . ." what I intended to portray is that I believe it possible for me to defeat you. If I thought it to be a guaranteed victory, I would've never accepted a split. But it's not like you would've had a cakewalk either. Give me some credit, please. Sandbagging johns only go so far as well.

Seriously though, I was angry about this when I woke up, and during last night. Now, I'm pretty over it. In fact, I'm sorry for insulting you Velocity. You didn't really do anything wrong per say, I was just stressed out.

And sorry Ryoko. You do an amazing job of confusing me, but scary? Not a chance.

stuff:

I ***** almost everyone I played. Yay.

Chibo and roguepit: after losing to velocity and ryoko in teams, I didn't want to play anymore. I'm sorry we didn't give you better losers finals matches, but I couldn't force myself to care anymore.

chibo: that kind of ledge stalling -will- be banned. I had my doubts before because it's hard to arbitrarily label ledge camping, but that kind of camping really does ruin smash gameplay. Use it while you can, it won't be around much longer.

roguepit: you strengthened your SBR application

steel2nd: you strengthened your SBR application

pierce: you're hurting your SBR application

velocity: you were fun to bull**** with

ryoko: you have nice legs

vex is ****.

I think that's it.

did i help my sbr application? :)

with the ledge stalling, the main reason part of it is trying to be done with now is ledge stalling with aspirations of running out the timer. the fact it was in teams was very different when me and rogue's strategy was me playing defensive holding stocks when rogue was big on offense. i didnt purposely stay on the ledge to run the timer, it was more to keep safe when i had a crazy *** ike on me (which i thought u were a really smart player btw). whenever i had the open i was on the stage doin stuff

undrdog is a pit SBR guy.

I haven't seen your app chibo.

and no one edge stalls to run out the timer, but it doesn't make it less gay. it ruins smash game play and makes brackets way too long. it has to go regardless of reasoning.

pierce: you're hurting your SBR application
Well. I'm sorry to hear that. Being a part of the SBR is important to me, but not being disrespected is also important to me. While I had an amazing time yesterday, I had a rough night, and a rough morning this morning. Stuff like that happens to everyone, and it's natural for people to get edgy about it when they aren't feeling well.

Am I making johns for myself because I want to be a part of SBR, yes. But if the SBR is going to reject me on the premise that I felt insulted and I spoke up about it, even though everyone not involved in this incident seemed to enjoy my company (any given person please correct me if I'm wrong), and I placed well, then I'm not sure if I'll ever fit SBR criteria. I'm fun enough to be around, and a normally agreeable person. The community will attest to that. But I don't just let people walk all over me and reach into my pocket, especially because this tournament was probably more important to me than anyone else attending. It meant something important to me, PARTIALLY BECAUSE I want to be a member of the SBR, and I wanted an actually victory under my belt, and because it meant something for my crew, my friends, cool people that have had my back and encourage me to get better, like Inui, Atomsk, Blue, Yehs, Eazy, m2k (just to name a few, random shoutouts, c wat i did thar!) and because I was also a representative of the Marth community.

When I played yesterday, I wasn't just playing for me. I didn't care so much just so I can be popular. I THINK I'm already popular in this region, as far as social aspects are concerned. I wanted to represent those people. So naturally, when something went as unexpectedly as last night's finish did, I was upset. I'm sorry if the SBR frowns on 'my kind of behavior'. I didn't even insult anyone, except Velocity, and in his case, I merely spoke truth. He talked LOTS of smack yesterday, and this hurt, primarily because a lot of players in Jersey often mock him, and I defend his name, so for him to so casually disregard me was highly insulting.

Like I said though, I was tired, I had my crew stressing me out, but I got the win, I met lots of people, made new friends, and went home with 80. That's all that matters right now.

Oh, and Chibo, he's right. Stalling at the edge like that is not only really . . . an unfavorable way to play in many people's eyes, but it also limits you. I find less campy R.O.B.s to be more challenging.
