this is an amazing edgeguard against certain characters; namely those who travel directly above you as they recover such as DK.
the idea is to plant a dsmash mine right on the edge or next to it (within ledge roll range) and grab the ledge. as they up-b, they will not auto-grab ledge as you are holding onto it. the problem with brawl is that normally from this position, the recoverer would get onto the stage unpunished. so what you do is when they're in the air and parallel to your mine, ledge roll. you are invincible so it won't hurt you, but it is enough to detonate the mine and hit THEM with the explosion. depending on how much you charged the mine, this can be very deadly.
