Donkey kong Junior, will he make a comeback?

Anybody remember th Donkey Kong Jr. arcade game? It was rather popular. It still is one of my favorite arcade/NES games of all time, so it is up there with my favorite nintendo games ever made. So.. anyone who thinks DK JR deserves a second chance, show your support!! Also, this for EVERYONE'S OPINION, so if you show discontent, show it here.

I'd LOVE to see DK Jr. in Brawl, but then again I love monkeys.

The DKC Donkey Kong in Smash Bros. is believed by most DKC fans to be Donkey Kong Jr., though Rare and Nintendo seem to keep on changing their minds on the subject. Anyway, I like the character, but I'd prefer it if he were just a costume for DK which made him younger and faster but weaker.

Donkey Kong Jr. is pretty much a no, on account of the following two words: Diddy Kong.

Diddy Kong is also a smaller, faster Kong, AND he's got way more versatility, appearing in several games. He had a guitar, jetback, guns, etc.

Fox is right. Diddy waaaaaaaaaaaaaay before any other DKC character.

But I'm worried about DK himself. First he's removed from Mario Party, and if I remember correctly, he's been removed and/or missing from other mascot games. And he hasn't been confirmed in this one yet...meh, DK will never die...I hope O.o

Yeah, otherwise they wouldn't of said "not all 'melee' characters will be returning". They would of said "not all characters from the previous two games will be returning". Still, the treatment Nintendo gives DK lately concerns me.

I doubt DK Jr. will make a comeback. Diddy Kong has a much bigger fan base. I didn't even think DK Jr.'s game was that good. And alot of the games he was in aren't to memorable. DK Jr. Math, perhaps?

True, but weren't those all from the same series? Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't been able to play all the games like used to (getting old is a *****) but hasn't DK Jr. been in some more recent Mario games (like Mario Tennis)? When's the last time Diddy Kong was in a game and was he ever in a collective game that is more similar to Smash Brothers? I thought he's just been in the DK Country games, which would tell me that if it's not DK Country, he won't be in it, otherwise they probably would've put him in Mario Tennis instead of DK Jr.

Luigi's signature move is the fireball. If there's one move for him to have, it would be the fireball. He doesn't need the tornado, but his fireballs and jumps are his trademark attacks.

Sakurai said they will be retooling nearly every character, especially the "clone"s. I hope hope Gannondorf has a sword!

Yes we're sure. DK Jr was in Super Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong was in Mario Kart Double Dash.

DKC3 and DKL3 isn't really that fair seeing as Diddy Kong only appears after the final battle against K. Rool, but whateve. He also makes a cameo in some of the DK tracks in Namco's Mario Kart Grand Prix.
