I'm from Toronto actually, just at university in Kingston. There will be a christmas break and I'll be back in Toronto for much of December. Send me a PM if you end up coming to Toronto and we can meet up! I can also supply maybe one or two other players, not sure though.

GaTech is where all the good 64 in the world is at.
Isai isn't there.
Boom isn't there.
Alancitu isn't there
The Japanese players aren't there.

Apparently that's not where all the good 64 in the world is at. Maybe the good in your area, but world is a different story...

Wow, I was joking around bro. But if anyone wants to come and play a few games... :)

edit: because a skill discussion would be pointless

I still have an N64 that works...sporadically...and the game, but I'm far better on keyboard. If you configure the controls right, you have a lot more tactical options than your fingers would be able to move fast enough for on n64. Of course, you need a controls plugin that lets you adjust "joystick" sensitivity, or you're hosed trying to tilt, but...

The only real advantage KeyBoard gives you is DI, everything else is the same...except for some directonal problems...but you can work around that

I can't even do DI on keyboard (not well, at least). I'm guessing my issues with the controller are based on familiarity more than anything else...that, and I really like being able to do crap like the Ness/Yoshi 2DJC without thumb ninja-ry.

Yeah, so after 3 weeks of innactivity, I'm back on the forum. =)

CFM, I'll be back in montreal in january. Then I'll contact you by Pm or msn : rex_xv@hotmail.com

and we can keep that **** oldschool with that 64. I'll just need a couple matches warm up. I played with the controller 3 weeks ago and I did not bad. Pretty sure I can be as good as I am with the KB.

And discomfort.

I think I'm getting arthritis from two much 64, just moving my wrist makes a crack.

Also, you need to buffer utilts, but I hear many joystick complaints so I think they might have to too.

Discomfort is a personal taste.

Buffering Utilts and dropping Uairs from platforms is a pain..i share the same issue using a D-Pad D:

it also seems easier to DJC with a keyboard
but harder to short hop

true and true.
And impossible to tilt normally.

Somebody agrees with me that when you play fast/agressive/flashy at keyboard, you feel comfortable, while trying to do it at the N64 you feel your gonna wreck your hands... Maybe its only me lol.
