Doc Vid... What am i doing wrong? it looks crappy ^^

okay, i´ve been trying to pick up doctor mario as a second, just cause he´s awesome XD

but somehow my playing style looks horrible -.- i´m doing okay with him (no, not all my opponents suck like the one in the vid) but it just looks stupid, and isnt too effective

what am i missing?
i figured maybe less FJ pills, more FF and shffl in general.. would that speed up my gameplay a lot? (eventhough i cant SH right ^^)

Well, you pretty much covered what I was gunna say. I think you FJ pill waaaaaaaay too much.

But at the same time, you werent getting punished for it, so I dont blame you for doing it.

I'd work on not doing it so much, but I'm a personal fan of doing what's working, so if you're not getting punished for it, keep goin.

I didnt sit down and study the video or anything, but the only thing I noticed that was blaringly "wtf"-esque, was at 1:30, you tried to full jump into a f.air as fox was coming down.

Now, i dunno if that was bad coordination with your left hand or what, but there was clearly no way you were going to hit that. >.<

If you wanted to try anything, I think you shoulda went with an n.air, just for the fact you would have atleast hit him, or traded with him.

Other than that, everything else seemed fine, imo.

(psst. tell your friend that those pill are bad and he shouldnt try to eat them >.<)

the fair thingy was prolly on purpose, just too late ^^

for the pills: i think you´re really save doing FJ pills to Waveland, when your opponent is kinda far away... somehow i always get punished for doing SH pills... not Fj ^^ so, w/e ^^ i´ll try to switch that though, but i like the FJ pill combos XD

somehow i cant fastfall properly with doc, but that just needs work i guess, nothing í´m unable to fix...

could it be that DOc is a char that needs alot of mindgames (besides pill spammin?)

Edit: Just saw your question if doc needs a lot of mindgames. Yup, lol my crew has 3 Marth mains, without mindgames that reach would destroy me everytime.

i´ve got a new vid, been trying to do more SH and stuff in it...
also i was trying to do WD to Ftilt, i saw that in a few other vids

so, there are a lot of mistakes, starting by unnesecary DuoubleJumps to WDs into nothing but a marth´s Fsmash XD

You really need to fast-fall with those pills, boss. You also need to work on your mindgames.

Just keep practicing and you'll get it.

I would suggest fast falling and also try to get some more shffl's in cause they really help. Try grabbing into your down through to start combo's those work wonders. Work on mind games as well you gotta make openings.
