Johns not necessarily, assuming you have a brain too. You can use 2.0 of your cells unlike half the population. Funny that, coming from someone who is using Snake more readily. You're right about Ike's counter though. It usually is the type who can think you have the hardest time dealing with. My point being Ike isn't bad to the point where he isn't playable.

Johns? Ike's hard to overcome obstacles are the fact that if a person is coolheaded, the numbers just straight are not in ike's favor. Yes, you can exploit the flaws in a person's gameplay but a person doesn't even need to be flawless to straight destroy you in return just due to the character's limitations. As for snake I use him more readily because there's far more I need to learn about the character I take seriously as of now as opposed to the character I helped build from the ground (really more like a mid-low floor) up for a year. As time progresses, regardless of how smart you are, better characters in the hands of players as smart as you will shut you down. Maybe not 3 stock bad but it will happen. The character's bad, until you understand that will you be able to actually make use of him to his fullest.

The tiers are made by the most knowledgeable / skilled players in brawl to date (kinda), the group of people aren't comprised of an absolute random ike player. Thinking tiers are load of **** is thinking every single match up is a load of ****. Gannondorf>IC on FD.

Lol seriously just accept that your character is good/bad and move on. When you get real pro at the game, it won't matter who you use.

That's not what I ment! What I have seen is a local player that felt pressured to win at tournys so he switched to metaknight, thus dropping in skill from about a 6/10 to about a 2/10. And now his style is screwed up so he can't switch back to Link. DX

I know tier exists for a reason but I don't think tier should dictate character choices. I also said nothing concerning match ups because I know that Match ups can make or break a win. I also realize that Ike is a bad character but I do not think that just because Ike is a degrading character that everyone should just give up on him. I think we should enjoy Ike while we can.

Not really it could just mean he is more comfortable with Metaknight. If your not comfortable with a character then you won't be able to play right and assess the situation as the match goes on. Example 1: I play Captain Falcon and I decide one day I want to win so I switch over to Falco. Am I going to play better because I did? No because I hate playing as Falco and his spam tactics and chaingrabbing. All it really comes down to is who you feel most comfortable playing.
