Do you plan on having any Veterans as a new main?

Only in anime, son. You pick your favorite Ninty characters, and proceed to kick *** with them. Thus is how the law is written on picking your main in Super Smash Bros.

Though I agree 100%, that you'll find your main based on how well he or she (or they, or it) compliments your playstyle. That's not to say you can't pick up someone based on what ganes they've been in, though you may not do as well with them.

Perhaps, perhaps not. It will depend on how Marth measures up to Sonic, Pit, and Diddy (and potentially Krystal). Or on if Captain Falcon plays more like he did in the original (mained him then, didn't like him in Melee).

I expect I'll use several at least as secondaries. Link has always been a secondary for me, so thats not likely to change, and I'll certainly use Marth as such if not as a main. Beyond that, I couldn't say - perhaps if I find I like some more this time around I may use them too; if not, probably not.

It all depends on how the characters play; I don't just pick people from my favorite games. Example: in melee, I like Marth, Falco, Bowser, and Mario (in roughly that order). I have trouble with Peach, G&W, Ice Climbers (to a lesser extend), and Fox (I really can't play him at all; I end up playing like I'm Falco). It's apparently random: I like some high tiers, but not nearly all. It changes with time, and doesn't have much to do with the games (I like LoZ alot, but don't main any of them. I have never played a Star Fox or Fire Emblem game, so two of my mains come from series I have never played).

In all probability, I will end up maining a veteran, but I have no idea which one.
