It's spelled out as "Link", but Japanese people pronounce it as "Rinku", so to answer your question: pretty much yeah lol

he lies. links name is, like aAndy said, spelt link pronounced rinku. same reason peach, fox, kirby etc. are not spelt piichi fokkusu and kaabi.
