Guys, I think the scum team is JTB, Soup, and RR.
When I started the game, I thought I was a vanilla townie because my role said vanilla townie. I figured "Hey VT don't have abilities, I know how to play a VT" and stopped reading. That's why my initial game is so clearly town.
Then Seph pointed out to me that I'm also neighbors with Soup. After that I got murky because I wasn't sure if I could trust him despite my initial read as town since he was a NEIGHBOR (unconfirmed alignment). I've been trying my best to talk to him in our QT, but he barely posted. Which really threw me off my game. I'm sure many of you know how much I love to talk to my partners when I have one in a game. And after all his mouthy bs, suddenly Soup cannot get online and won't talk?
It was weird but I wanted to give him a chance. I revealed that I am the Light Warrior from FF1. You can see several breadcrumbs early game. I asked him his character and role, and he was very quiet about the matter. He hinted that he was fast and brave. I guessed Zidane (before Roxy's flip).
Several days passed, almost a week, and no response of any kind. I prod him on thread with how he needed to communicate better and then poked him on QT asking if he read it any more. Suddenly he posts several times with this inane plan of convincing people that he's a jester so scum won't get him lynched. And how he hopes I'm town and won't ruin his plan.
I could probably have just shook my head and walked away from that, but then he claimed that yes he is Zidane. I asked Seph privately if his post that Roxy was Zidane was correct, and Seph said yes it was.
This leaves two options. 1) He really is a jester and far smarter than we gave him credit. I think this is highly unlikely because jester is such an unpopular role in SWF.
2) He's scum and slipped bad.
He's never asked my opinion or pushed for either RR or JTB.
JTB did vote for Soup. Post 54 (easily a RVS) and post 371. He does give some reason as pressure to Soup and for Soup's scummy push on RF. He's gone for a long time and when he does come back, he makes a big list of his reactions to people in post 422. His reaction to JTB is basically "null, but he's cool". Then in post 490, JTB posts "This thread exploded overnight. Glad to see you back Soup." AND THAT'S ALL THE PRESSURE HE GIVES! JTB unvotes and says he needs to think about stuff. JTB doesn't vote again until post 604 on Roxy.
Meanwhile Soup is posting tons but he's not doing any private investigation to find out more about his neighbor. No QT posts, no pms and he claims he's not on chat except hotmail which I cannot really access.
Also, I think RR's buddying of J is just plain scummy. J hasn't really contributed yet and I can see how a player who jumped into 40 ppp 40 page game would have trouble giving any thoughts at this time. But RR seems to practically latch onto him.
Anyway, that's my story. Sorry it's so long.
