So, I have been hearing rumors that the backroom was discussing banning dark samus on congo jungle due to her blending in very well with the background. I disagree with this ban. everyone knows samus is the worst character in this game, so, why can't she have an advantage at something, in this case camouflaging well in congo jungle? i don't see kirby's utilt being banned anytime soon, or pikas upb. if we, or rather, the backroom, goes about banning everything that doesn't seem "fair" or right, smash 64 wouldn't be what it is; a great game. i would like to hear the rest of the community's opinion on this and not just the backroom's.
This is ridiculous. Straining your eyes to be able to see dark characters on Kongo should not be a SKILL that is a factor in tournaments. I personally have no issue seeing dark characters on Kongo, but I'm not going to be an *** about it. You want
CAMOUFLAGE to be a character's advantage? Seriously? That's how you want to win, not because through you being legitimately better than your opponent, but because he couldn't see? And we said the rule was going to be the other player can REQUEST another color if they have trouble seeing, not a straight-up ban. Oh, and Samus may be the worst character in the game, but this can also apply to things like DK's and Falcon's dark colors. Way to focus on only your main, because you clearly would do anything to win. Do you support the use of Ritalin, too?
Omg why would anyone even think about this. Shouln't get banned because cmon there has Never been any color banning in any smash bros so why should we?
Wrong. In BOTH of the other Smash games, color blind people can request certain team colors if it's an issue, and even if they're not color blind sometimes, if it's a case in which it's hard to tell the team (e.g. Sonic and Lucario always look blue-ish so it can be hard to tell). Clearly, the Melee and Brawl communities understood that the ability to distinguish colors and see camouflaged characters should not be a factor in a player's skill level, LOL. Just like, we banned items because luck should not be a factor.
P.S. Way to throw ballin4life under the bus, Darth, since we all know that you two are buddies and he was against the Backroom being closed to the public, so now everybody is going to suspect ballin4life of breaking the promise of confidentiality, even if he wasn't the one who did it. What a nice thing to do to your friend, when you could have simply waited for the BRoom to release its ruleset and argue about it there - rules can be changed, you know. Maybe you should have thought for half a second before making this thread.
