I'll agree with you that the Mario Kart DS DK looked HORRIBLE, but I like his current, Konga look.

You keep forgetting that Sakurai is making this game. Remember the Nintendo model for Bowser? Now compare that to Melee Bowser. DK is going to look good but Wario is just plain sexy.

1. The JB team said that the DK crew wasn't fresh enough for today's audiences although Mario's has been fresh enough for 20 years and Zelda's for around 15 years, double standards much.
2. JB the game, it had absolutly nothing from DKC except the tie on DK and the bananas everything else was new, it was over all more of a mario game than a DK one
3. Miyamoto said he hated DKC, Nintendo and their fanboys think that Good Graphics = **** Gameplay, every game by rare prooves that wrong.
4. They let Namco make a game in the series, this is the ultimate proof Nintendo hates something, or they want a game shoved together quickly (ala assault) Nintendo knew that with the pacman series Namco just used the same boring engine over and over and made they games boring, same thing happened with Konga.
5. They Sold Rareware, the only good people (aside from PAON) who can make a good DK game.
6. His look in Mario Kart DS 'nuff said.

But they are trying to turn around their ways and appreciate the DK series examples include
1. Paon, they are clearly huge DKC fans and have made an excellent game in King of Swing, Bongo Blast looks absoloutly awsome and King of Swing DS also looks fantastic, let's hope they make Donkey Kong Wii.
2. Diddy's appearance in cameo games, Dk is only there because Miyamoto created him but adding in Diddy proved they respect the DKC characters.
3. Rambi Racer in Mario Kart DS. The knew that Hoofer was unpopular and unwelcome so they reintroduced Rambi, yay Nintendo.
They are changing their ways and I am begining to forgive them, now on topic Diddy will absoloutly kick arse in Brawl, has any one got a midi of the opening song in DKC2

Well I agree that JB and Konga where bad games. But In Donkey Konga there are pretty much DKC elements. I mean not in gameplay, but they are still there. Namco atleast respected the Country Donkey Kong.

And yeah DK's grinning model just sucks. Rare never used a toothy grin for DK, atleast... They didnt showed DK's teeth too much, which was good. But it was just a cameo game anyway... In Jungle Beat DK did showed his teeth much, but only when he was fighting or angry. I say that pretty much suits him, they may keep the Jungle Beat model only make him taller... DK is a ****ing gorilla, not some sorta gibbon or anything! And fix his hair... It makes him look like a wild beast.

Btw I always hated that DK was removed from Mario Party and putted there as a NPC. However in Mario Party 7 you also have solo DK minigames where some of them do remind me of DKC. Now if they only made a DK Jungle board or anything...

Seriously though. The DK from Melee is returning with an upgraded look. Sakurai isn't going to screw him over. Mario has never looked so good, not even in the Super Mario Galaxy demos. Pit alone shows how good he is at improving a characters looks. And need I remind you of the ungodly sexy beast Wario?

I found another hobby of mine after thinking about it I like to annoy random high strung people it's good for a laugh sometimes. Jon form our school is a prime example of one of my regular victims isn't that right zombie?
