Nawh Diddy shouddnt be all powerful, but speedy yeah.
His strenght would be around Young Link's, maybe a bit higher. As for carrying crates, I can see Diddy do that. After all he was able to carry barrels in DKC. ;)

Ok just a couple thoughts I had so just let me know what you think of them.

1. I dont think diddy ever had a black hat and shirt but I think he would look cool in black.

2. I dont like the idea of his fur changing colors. I never liked DK in melee or SSB because of the fur thing. I know thats all they could do with him but they should leave diddys fur alone. He has both the shirt and hat and that should be enough to tell two diddys apart.

3. I might of let on that I really hate diddy but the fact is I dont care either way. If he doesnt make it Im not sad but if he makes it Im not mad. Im good both ways.

It was kinda for a laugh. Im actually neutral. No getting paired with Dixie though.

I just think that the character ratio for DK reps is good, but I don't really care if Diddy is in I just want more franchises and variation in Brawl so I support Hector because he is an axeweilder and Lyn instead of Roy. Really I saw that you people actively supported Diddy so I tried to ruffle your feathers I didn't care as much as I let on and neither did zombie we were just having a little fun. I don't support him, but I'm really not against him either. Unless he would be paired with Dixie then I would be against him.
It was fun trying to get you avid Diddy fans worked up, but I had my fun in this topic atleast and won't do it again atleast in this topic.

1. No your right. But I actually think he'd look sweet in black to. Good idea. =)

2. The fur changing was actually more to fit with the clothes. And yeah I agree that DK's fur colors are terrible. Except for the black-greyish one. But dont worry, in DK64 multiplayer Diddy's fur was kept the same. ;)

3. Same with me on some points. Characters like Baloon Fighter and Little Mac give me the same way.

Which one? Angry Aztec and Jungle Japes are 3d renders of DKC levels, Fungi Forest is a ompletly oirginal one and I doubt rare would add in any refrences to the mario series, they tried to keep the DK series away from there, that's why the original DK is now Cranky and the current DK is just grown up DK jr. they wanted the DK series to be indapendant.

you know, i like the idea of the dragonfly boss stage in angry aztec for a stage. i really liked the music and the boss was cool. actually, not the boss stage, but the level. the cool egyptian theme made it one of my favorite levels, and diddy played a major role in it.

I would like to see all series to have a level before each series gets another but after that I dont mind if some characters have more stages or each series has more stages then another. Any diddy stage is fine by me.

meh i never played them two... im waitin for them to be second hand or sumtin so i can by them for 25% of the usual price.
iv only played SF64, and it was awsome. i really just want a level in space with the only platforms available being ships and asteroids.

I've played all of them but Starwing, I got Adventures forfor $15 including postange and handeling from ebay so look there, Starfox Command is still too pricy though.

I'm definitely with xianfeng on this one... Diddy Kong is one of the characters on the top of my list (the only characters I want more would be Marth returning [if that counts], Samurai Goroh, and Krystal in that order). He's been the type of characters who's really major and yet hasn't been placed into a Smash Bros. title (think back to the demand for Wario, and now... voila!)

You've supplied an excellent moveset, covering every last detail from speed and range down to a victory theme song. If Nintendo is reading this thread, they will definitely put Diddy in without a second guess.

My estimation of Diddy's chances of making the cut: 85-90%

Nintendo won't read this thread, if you think they will you are wasting your time. The boards won't influence them even if they did and it isn't that big of a fan base on the boards anyway. This thread is full of repeat posters for one and a poll gets more results from a more diverse group.

Relative to a poll it is not a big fanbase you have to admit that even if there are a hundred supporting this thread on the boards that it can't compare to the thousands that would respond to the poll.

Im neutral on diddy but as for a big fan base there are over 43,000 users on the boards so I wouldnt really call this thread a big fan base.

Edit: sorry my mistake there are over 45,000 users.

Awww cmon people DK isnt that bad. As a Super Smash move for DK I could see a Gaint Punch with two extra fists hitting from above and below the opponement. Not just throwing ****. XD

He would totally rock in brawl. i think he would be similar in feel to donkey kong but would be a totally unique and fun to play character.
(btw, can i be added as a diddy kong fan?)

DK was awsome just look

but then Donkey Kong dissapered and Nintendo turned him into this hideous creature with the stupid grin for no reason and the sausages for fingers.
