Well, I was referring more to the 2D games, where momentum didn't change that much when he jumped, since Brawl is a 2D game with 3D graphics, I was thinking that they would give Sonic the same 2D feel for Subspace levels. You haven't played Sonic Adventure, don't you? Sonic is lightning fast on ground, but when you jumps he will fall slowly if you don't homming attack to boost yourself on air (It don't works in SSBB)...
I think Sakurai wanted to keep some of the character's "own game properties" (well, not at all 'cause Sonic can swim in SSBB LOL).
Mmmmm... I loved that 2D games... But I guess they based him on the 3D ones. If he keeps the momentum and speed when you jump, you could chase and gimp/kill people off stage amazingly long and fast making him broken...Well, I was referring more to the 2D games, where momentum didn't change that much when he jumped, since Brawl is a 2D game with 3D graphics, I was thinking that they would give Sonic the same 2D feel for Subspace levels.

The whole game is super floaty. But haven't we talked about this already?
RixMaadi is the second coming of Boxoblol
Why would he be ground based? he is really fast making him able to jump high. hahaI was expecting Sonic to be more ground based, kind of like Fox with fast falls, and was expecting him to be unique with the speed idea and not lose his momentum when jumping, like doing a Spin Shot by just moving and jumping.
