Xerath is subpar. I find him to be an extremely cool character, and I want to play him more, but I think I'll ruin everyone's day in normals, and it would only be worse in ranked.

I know i do it's just that i found a boss xerath thing i wanna try, i was going to have to wait anyway since i'm not farming hardcore with exams and the like , so my rp is low. BAsically playing the free to play champs and master yi who i got using the free 400 IP (i wifomd that decision). Plus i get eaten alot by ganks with how i play karthus and his lack of something to stun si only made up for by the fact that when i requiem , people feel it hardbody.

I also am hard spent to spend RP because i want to have enough at higher levels for rune pages / more expensive runes and other champions.

Is LoL good enough on avg RP gain that i shouldn't have to miser my gold out ?

Can't buy runes with RP bro.

You should buy RP if you don't want to grind IP. I wouldn't spend RP until you hit lvl 30 and really know what role you want to focus on so you can buy stuff for that. Unless you do really know what you want and won't regret the purchase go ahead and use RP to skip the time it would take to get IP.

RP Wise I would either:

Get the champion bundle, wait for champion sales, and/or play them in free week before deciding.

If you buy champs occasionally, it'd be better in the long run that you get the champ bundle (if it has most of the champs you want) because you'll save money in the long run.

IP comes in pretty slowly. Literally, the last game I played (that I won), I only got 150 IP and it was a 50 minute game. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how IP scales in correlation with games, so maybe someone else can tell you. If you want some of the costly champions in a short time, do what Gova said and buy them with RP. You can also just wait for said champions to go on "sale", then buy them for half RP.

Oh yeah, and I 100% agree with Ran. If you do feel like spending money, buy the bundle packs since they will save you tons of time; you'll get a slew of champions all in a single package at a very low price.

Its based on how long the match is, but you get more if you win.


The best way to farm IP other than just playing and winning is getting the first win of the day bonus every day. If you want to do it quickly play co-op vs AI dominion match, takes about 10 minutes
