I actually understand how this works and what you're trying to do. If you don't start getting results, I will not hesitate to vote you. Red Ruy's not simply attacking Soup, he's attacking someone he believes to be scum (he's not tunneling). I'm not sold that it actually is TvS but from an initial glance, that's what it looks like. It could very well end up as TvS or just as easily TvT. I highly doubt SvS though, Red Ruy seems legit.

I agree that this could be TvT, and perhaps RR is just baffled by my play, but stuff like this concerns me, yet eases my troubles.

Taking a initial stance, this looks very scummy, but you really think about it, it's very townie.

It's scummy for blatantly asking what he is doing wrong, it's townie because Glyph wouldn't call out his scumbud like that without 'reading nothing of this other than the OP.'

From my point of view, I am not even trying to justify "bad play". I'm admitting Ryker is dead on right that I'm hard to read. Hell, I actually consider myself a half decent player most of the time. It's just that despite my good instincts, I'm just not as good as him and that always leaves me feeling a little insecure.

I'm really not sure how to answer your questions. I suppose IF I had a posting restriction, I definitely should stick to it. IF I was crumbing, I doubt I'd want to admit to that so early in the game.

Rajam for reasons already stated and his sudden disappearance, Soup because instead of actually posting content, he's using his scumminess as an excuse to find reads. I'll remove him if he actually gets around, Tandora because I understand what she's trying to do but I question her honesty and Glyph because everything about his #219 is scummy as ****.

Don't lump me with Glyph. Pick one or the other as #3 and then put the other as #4.

I believe this to be true. When you're town, you're good enough player to get such reads and scum gets an auto pass. =p

I've played about 16 games by now.
My "faction" won 2 games that I don't count because one was MXC and I died pregame. The other is Villains where I died less than 8 hours in because I replaced someone who made it virtually impossible for me to live. Other than that, my faction has won 3 games.
I live in Kentucky on EST.
I'll have to think about salient facts.

I've played more games than I can count here, on Epic Mafia in the past and a couple of Marathon games. As you know I'm from Europe, timezone is GMT +1.
Salient facts? As a mafia player EE said I have my way of playing "sincere" that makes it hard to hold what I say directly against me. Maybe that's why lesser skilled players have such trouble "reading" me.

Drop the mentality, if you ask me. It worked for me. I stopped considering other players to be better than me in this and just did my thing and it worked. This has nothing to do with the game, but is advice I hand out to any and everyone that will listen and I find it an important message to get out.

1.) I dunno who it is. I just kinda saw it when googling for something else and it sat in my bookmarks. I have a lot of those.
2.) For what it's worth, I'm town dead set on forcing scum into the open so that they can't survive late game with the competent team I hope to have assembled.

I think it's more likely to be because your scum play is not bad. You don't walk into obvious traps and don't play be the newbies guide to playing as mafia. You also contribute as scum and are willing to bus if necessary. The reason people have a hard time reading you is because you're hard to read.

Sure, why not. It adds to it. I played against him as scum twice (Maybe thrice) and with him as scum once. Are you saying I can't get anything from the different format? I'm more confident in my ability to read dumb players in general due to recent revelations in how I can play the game differently by playing to a different objective in order to win. I'm not saying he isn't good Vig bait because he is. Him and DH can go tonight unless something changes. Vig's passing up night kills is something I never understood.
