Still wrestling with my work schedule, however everything is still on for the 22nd for whoever can make it. Right now i'm off for every friday after the 22nd as well. I have to work on fridays 3:30 to midnight so thats my excuse for not coming. But someone needs to get something together this weekend or next weekend before we have to goto Dubuque

School owns me for about a month and the Des Moines Smash scene dies for about a month.

Alright, since I don't want us to suck too bad when we go to Dubuque (and SMYM 6 the week after), I will hold a smashfest at my place on the 21st. I want everyone to come to this; we really need to get re-organized.

I'll post more details once we get closer to this Saturday.

Hey, new smash player, I live in Des Moines, I go to Lincoln High School and i just play casually with my friends after-school in our gamers club, if anyone wants to get together and have a smash-fest ill be gladly loaning my house for one, so far I've talked to Victor about coming, most likely he might come.

TehYoon and his friends tell me they want to do weekly Des Moines Smash events. I would be able to come, so long as they aren't too far away, and I might be able to host a few. I'd rather just coach/teach everyone else instead of focusing on the competitive playing aspect.

Well, we don't have any new players that can match your guys' skills, though I'm thinking about holding a Smashfest just to re-unite all of the current Des Moines players [will most likely be a Sunday].

More on that later this week, assuming I can get enough people interested.

Alright some updates:

Sunday (and now Friday after school) no longer works for me, leaving Saturday are my remaining two options.

Tim: If by "old buddies" you mean people like...David, Shawn, and Jason, then no. Maze is still retired, and will barely play the occasional game. I haven't heard from Shawn (his new baby I'm guessing) or Jason (he is probably still busy with school).

The only new people showing would be TehYoon and his crew. And they still have a lot to learn.

Also, my parents refuse to have anything at my house ever again. But I hate having to sit in a car 40 minutes round-trip just to play in the local Smash scene...

TehYoon might be able to host, I'll contact him. Otherwise, I don't know.

After calling up more of my friends to see what we're doing this weekend, I was able to clear Saturday. However, I will be busy Friday.

TehYoon, want to host? If so, you need to have more T.V.'s available and easy to access. Otherwise, this'll work alright.

i have two Tvs

I went to Gamers Paradise (Mainly because of Nathan (brother) and TehYoon) and I had a fun time. TehYoon picked me out before the thing even started. He had a clone match with samus. That was painful to watch. No offense, but four lives should not take 8 minutes. Then me and Nathan faced each other, Fox Vs Falco with one life. Fifty-five secopnds later I pushed him off the edge (while getting on) while he was trying to spike me with Falco. I also fought Tehyoon. I believe he was Samus again, vs my Fox and we had 2 lives. He did at least 150% to me, mainly due to my need to be wherever a projectile is. It was a slow match. With a lot of rockets. In the end though it was 2-0 my win. Then we started with 4-player free for alls, Of which anyone knows, requires a lot more skill, precision, and luck. Mostly luck. I had a fun time with that. I played all my main character, Fox Mewtwo Zelda (not sheik) Pichu (was actually asked so someone could see a decent Pichu.) I didnt not play with Marth however and I wish I did. After I had to pass the remote(three wins and you have to pass the remote) I had some nice conversations with the people there. Also I dont know her name, but one Girl there Said she played as Kirby. I think she deserves an honorable mention. She is a brave girl sticking with him. I told her about Kintehr and how I was beat by a girl. A lot. (the proof is on YouTube.com. Search for Dv02) However, I won the Pop(Kintehr might still remember that.) Talked a bit about EB and Ian and how they beat me, I didnt talk about victor too much, because TehYoon was taking that part over. Also there were two hippie looking kids. I dont know their names but they are brothers. They do well as a team. They beat my mewtwo and my partner on the Temple stage. Granted the Temple Stage doesnt get much credit, but they still won.

From now on I will try to make it there every Tues and Thurs to help everyone with whatever they want help on.

(shout to V2K) TehYoon even noticed that we have different fox styles. I was hoping to see you there. That would have been a great match for them to see.
(Shout to TehYoon) I really want to do a One-Life match survival. Lets try for next time ok? Also dont quote my rank to everyone. I dont want them intimidated.

Er.. yeah. This isn't TehYoon for this single post, but he wanted me to say something for him. The SmashFests he had been planning before have been cancelled due to him getting grounded. There probably won't be one for a few weeks, unless we get a new location before he gets ungrounded. He's unable to use the computer, and that's why I'm typing this up. Leave a PM or something for when he gets back if there's anything needed to say. >_> kthx.
