Okay, so I have the common5.pac from a premade texture pack made by Youko (whatever his name is), and I want to delete some of the CSP's with Smashbox.

Whenever I do delete some, they're always there again when I reopen it.

What's up with that?

You don't want to be deleting ANYTHING. Doing so will obviously freeze the game.

Also, you need to save your modifications if you expect them to take effect.

You shouldn't delete textures, because the game will freeze. That and I'm not sure if that version had fully implemented the delete feature. It wasn't really meant to be used...

Like libertyernie said, extract the CSPs and use them to replace a fresh copy of common5.

For some reason, some of the normal textures have palettes. If the normal texture palettes are deleted, they won't affect the normal textures in any way. Only the indexed textures use palettes; don't delete any palettes that are used by the indexed textures.
